Are we interested to take correction or beating the old bush. Nehru era is finished, today is BJP/RSS era, let us see the changes they promised and did, and what they foresee.
So far except miseries, BJP has not given anything to tax payers at least, rest of people-people will decide in 2019.

There is an English adage: Committing mistakes is human, but blaming others is Politics

Nehru did commit mistakes, but blaming Nehru and Gandhi for every eevil is politics.

Had RSS come to power in 1952 what would they have done?

1. Imposed Hindi on everyone and India would have further got divided.

2. Promoted Hindutva too much.
3. If we look into HHinduism, we see that Vishnu took birth mostly as Brahmin (Vamana, Parashuram) or Kshatriya (Krishna, Ram) or Animals (Kurma, Varaha). But unfortunately not one avatar as Sudra or Panchama.
3. Deep inside their hearts, RSS still believes Birth-based caste system [Varna Dharma] is of divine origin. The Brahmins and Kshatriyas are of superior birth, and should hold high positions. Of course, I am not a blind supporter of the current reservation system exploited by OBC criminals (like Yadavs, Gujjars, Jats, Patidars, Modis, Kapus, Jaiswals, etc). But there is a need to introduce combo programs of brain-washing, thought-development, personality development, etc for the lower caste people so that their competence levels will improve.

Rig Veda 10.90.11-12: When they divided Purusa how many portions did they make? What do they call his mouth, his arms? What do they call his thighs and feet? The Brahman was his mouth, of both his arms was the Rajanya made. His thighs became the Vaisya, from his feet the Sudra was produced.

Now, I know even now the double-tongued HHindu experts will argue that caste is not based on birth.

The regularXtianBS. Rigveda says the work culture. As Face is knowledge, Shoulders are Strength, Legs to carry and Feet to support. Never said it by birth , its by work and again its like splitting hair on how Vishnu was born. Such [pureBS. You never spoke on why aQueens son is aKing inUK or how u bend over to aMiLord orMiLady or to their progeny.

I know you will come up with such sugar-coated interpretations. But fact remains the same--birth-based varna dharma is fundamental to Hinduism.

Very few people in India name themselves Valmiki or Vyasa. In case Vyasa, father was Brahmin, so you cannot say he is outright of low-birth. Anyway, people of low-birth getting highly status is rare in ancient Hindu society.
even Vishwamitra (Rajasrhsi) has to do 1000 yrs extra penance to become Brahmarshi. So crossing caste lines very difficult if not impossible.

Now tell me why does aQueens son is considered as Next King ur UK? Why u bend sayingMiLord andMilady? Why you bend evern before their first born sons saying MiLord?

Pray what good did Hindus get by Nehrus secularism. Hindus in their own land, are fighting today to live decently. One of the former PM of this country , on the basis of scularism , said that all the resources of this nation belongs first to minorities.. That was Nehrus secularism speaking after more than 40 yrs of his death . Enough of this secularism. We dont need such secularism , where the majorities are trampled and the minorities kept on a pedestal. For those who feel Nehru was gr8, so be it. The present govt doesnt subscribe to it. Cant somebody have a different opinion of Nehru, instead of the regular things the history books have so far written. Govt after govt, run his fly members have ensured that only his legacy remains, why the other leaders of his time.. were not leaders who sacrificed their life for Mother India. Enough of Nehru pampering.

Truth cannot be termed lies and countered with more lies
by Sriram R on Sep 25, 2018 02:30 PM

This article itself if full of half truths. Unfortunately the public today is more well informed. And it should be said to the credit of the Indian voters that given the then circumstances voting Jan Sangh would have been suicide. Even if I would not have voted for Hindutva forces for at least 15 years after independence. Today for similar concerns I will not vote for Islamic forces like Congress which conveniently call themselves secular.

Warped mindsets
by Venky on Sep 25, 2018 02:26 PM  | Hide replies

An individual's mind warps with only one view of the world.

To think that we can undo anything that happened over the last 200 years, or a millenium if you give some people a choice, is to speak to someone who doesn't have a vision, or a future.

Was Nehru always right? No!
Can anyone be always right? No!
Should one try to be always right? No!

If someone doesn't develop that basic learning, no schooling or reschooling will help. But such minds are always useful for the drills and brainwash, and can be converted to a monotonic thinking.

Congress of today is very different of Congress during the freedom struggle, split and splintered.

The feature that distinguishes humans from the animals or those that live in a close and closeted areas, like animals which define their own turf, is that they see have a vision of multiple colors.

Not one political party can demonstrate inclusiveness of different schools of thought, with both BJP and Congress guilty of quibbling and squandering India's chances of making it in the world. Rao, Vajpayee and Manmohan and for sometime Abdul Kalam got the country respect and admiration, others including the followers, indulge in street-level politics with discourses deteriorating by the day into decadence

Problem with our politics are that they are relying on history
by Jayaprakash Balan on Sep 25, 2018 02:22 PM  | Hide replies

The biggest problem with any political party is that they are still relying on their history. Though India's history is beautiful and we all have to be proud of it, remembering the same mistakes again and again committed by each and every political party's leaders and cirumstances and pointing fingers at each other doesn't make any sense. If BJP points fingers on Nehru, Indira others of Congress, the Congress points fingers at Nathuram Godse issue, Gowarikar etc. Likewise every political party is pointing fingers on each other. This way, one will never be able to accept other political party and India's struggle and fight for freedom from all these petty issue will keep going on with the people becoming just a mute spectators. This is the status of India and then we say that India is developed. Shame on the political party and its leaders as well the people who follow the leaders blindly instead of following any certain ideology.
