A defence deal in which an inexperienced new Indian company is associated as a medium of contract for procurement of Aircraft, spending huge amount from the public exchequer cannot be taken as a foregone conclusion as the FM is suggesting.It definitely requires a holistic examination from all angles as security of the country is involved along with transparency of the deal, price escalation factor and who are the beneficiaries and how much the treasury is getting emptied over and above the earlier negotiated price. Accountability of an elected Government has got no relativity with the number of members support it enjoy in Parliament.

A joint Venture mainly requires investment, Entrepreneurship and ability to run enterprise. Technical knowhow is provided by Dassualt and plenty of professionals and skilled labour are available in India. Domain experience is a not a prerequisite !
Respected RAGA is upset due to the fact that he and his party could not complete deal and that he and his supporters could not get any kickback out of the deal. Secondly any commercial deal is bound to have a profit clause in the agreement the parties enter int as noe one is dong any charity. Best part is no one from Congress is making any comment about this deal. Sooooo either they ar nort allowed to speak or they do not want to make any statements since they are aware of the facts.

THE FACT THAT THE CONGRESS WE NOT IN A HURRY TO FINALISE THE RAFEAL DEAL UNTILL THEY AGREED TO THE MUCH LOWER PRICE THAT THE THEN GOVT WAS READY TO GIVE, SHOWS THAT THE CONG. HAD THE COUNTRIES INTEREST THE MOST, UNLIKE THE BJP WHICH RUSHED INTO THE DEAL TO FAVOUR HIS RICH FRIEND.

Bewada theo, Have they ever finalised any deal without involvement of middle man ? If Congress was allowed to complete the deal, the position could have been like that of 1962, when Jawaharlal Nehru and his defence minister krishna menon were caught sleeping while chinese army attacked India. The Indian soldieers fought the battle bravel;y without proper arms and ammunition and propers gears, equipment and clothes under sever weather condition and lost their precious lives for the country. Atleas from next year, the delivery of 36 Rafale jets will start to stengthen the Indian Airforce.
