Clean toilets is a mirror to a health conscious society but the question is are the infrastucture complying to keep the toilet clean, are the water and cleaning stuff in place for cleanup of the public toilets. And the most important is the municipal body the government and the public caring enough to continue with the cleanup process.
The cleanliness has come from the users and those who maintain the toilets. Of course the Government should provide adequate cleaning materials and water...If the toilets are not clean it reflects on us the citizens and our attitude in major way and the Government of the day in a small way.
It's a great and most needed initiative by our beloved PM. It is so easy to pass cheap comments or ridicule the campaign. But to take up the challenge head on is not everyone's cup of tea! Let's all take it in right spirit and contribute towards getting rid of this scourge!

Sh*t and gross stench - stinks everywhere. I did just that journey with an old friend from UK and was I ashamed on the Taj Express!
Never encouraged such a "MUST PROJECT" for India, he showed more sincerity to junks like "KHAREENA AND KHAN FAMILY PRAYER" and "HOW RAHUL CAN SEE SUCCESS" ….
What an example of a sold out sick secular media...
Swatch Bharat mission is like a awakening Indian mindset who never thought to talk on this subject which was the need of everybody. It is just the beginning and let us not rate it like success or failure but like a cultural change in the Indian society. The big movement like abolition of Sati Pratha, Widow marriage also started like this. Our society was sleeping for centuries but Modi has done the job of awakening it.

true but we the public have been so spoiled for such a long time we will find it difficult to come out of it soon and there will be people from sold out media always pointing out the drawbacks rather than suggesting how to improve it
It was good that someone at a PM level thought and drove the initiative. People were more aware and have seen more toilets and dustbins around. We cannot expect miracles and but this drive needs to continue. Cant call it a success as of now, but the start has been done. People need to own it now
