Who made you an expert on Vajpayee's thoughts ?
by Amit Prasad on Sep 07, 2018 03:50 PM

Some people would just post whatever they feel will get them brownie points and some readership. I wonder who made this author an expert on what Vajpayee would have thought or done. If Vajpayee was not able to resist Modi in 2002, even if he was in the pink of health in 2013 he would have done what was best for the party. People who write useless articles should be shunned.

Mr Vajpayee - statesman & true public leader.
by B B Sharma on Sep 07, 2018 11:17 AM  | Hide replies

There can not be a comparison between the two .Mr Vajpayee was a statesman while Modi behaves like a low - level party hatch man . Modi virtually staged a revolt against Vajpayee publically aftermath Gujarat riots when the then PM wanted to remove him as CM of Gujarat. Mr Advani intervened & some how retrieved the ugly situation.
Vajpayee believe in true democratic values & reconciliation where as Modi is authoritative , obstinate & vitriolic speaker. Mr Vajpayee was loved & respected across the party line. Mr Modi is only trying to encash his popularity for electrol gains .

Vajpayee was liked by Congress too as he ensured Bofors was not seriously pursued . India needs a benevolent dictator and Modis is . If Valpayee was liked he should not have been thrown out by people of India in election . He was a gentleman and you cannot lead the country only by being Gentle

Would Atalji have approved of Modi Shah way of working
by Ashok Sapre on Sep 07, 2018 08:48 AM  | Hide replies

This discussion is totally irrelevant today. With due respect to Atalji he was in the process of building the Jan Sangha which began with only Two MPS. There was no question of opposing Congress then. Today BJP has been ruling party and Congress has been reduced to minority. I am sure no body would be able to function today in the way Jan Sangha was functioning in those days. Let us accept that times have changed and we have to go with the tide and changed times.

This question should have been asked to Mr Bajpayee when he was alive. What is the fun in asking it just after a few days of his death ? It is immaterial now whether he would have approved or not approved. So it is a waste of time arguing or debating on it.
