Indian Penal Code
by Ravindra Rao on Sep 10, 2018 12:37 PM

It is 71 years since independence and we have not changed the Indian Penal Code which was enacted by the British in 1860 to suppress the freedom movement. The police are still in the British raj. Police do not understand freedom of speech. They do not understand democracy. They just want to please the politicians and the criminals to get their promotion and posting. While it is important to change the Indian Penal Code it is more urgent to scrap the Indian Police Service. The IPS is the main cause for the spread of corruption. There is also an urgent need to transform the judicial system. It is estimated that 60% of the inmates in Indian jails are innocent people who have been framed by the police to protect the real criminals. It is also estimated that there are more than 30,000 full time professional fake witnesses who help in convicting the innocent and honest people. There is a big mafia involving judges, police, criminals and fake witnesses.

Forget case laws, judiciary is a law unto itself
by Ravindran Major on Sep 05, 2018 09:31 AM

In our country judiciary is one organ that is a law unto themselves, though logically they are only expected to be objective third party interveners in disputes between two parties. In all disputes there are always two sides presenting some facts, some laws and some case laws all of which are left to the discretion of the judge to accept or reject. In practice it is possible for a judge to just toss a coin and decide which of the parties to the dispute should get their favourable decision. After that copy pasting the relevant arguments from the arguments presented on a plate by the parties involved is a clerk's job!
