It is good to honour our great congress leader for his wonderful deeds for our country. Now, we are above the statues of USA, Russia, China and Japan. We should also rise above these countries in economics, eradicating hunger deaths, unemployment, poor medical facilities, illiteracy and so many things. This should have been done on first priority.

Don't worry many such statue will come up by political parties for their mentor. Just imagine, Lalu statue of same length or more at the bank of Patna in Ganga...
Alas, we could have concentrated this much on progress and eradication of poverty.
who is going to benefit from this statue. Wastage of Indian Tax payers money. It would have been much better, if it was a HOSPITAL or EDUCATION institute in the name of Shri Sardar Patel, who was one of the greatest person
Statue of Congress leader Vallabhbhai Patel shows congress party is India and all people support this party and not only this party gave us Independence from British its leaders also united India and Nehru provided a strong administration till India became developed.
Even opposition leaders cannot deny otherwise they would have built statue of their greatest leader Nathuram Godse
Their ideal is Nathuram Godse which is not acceptable to public so they were forced to make statue of ideal congress leaders as public is against statues of their leaders.

What have u been smoking. That Congress party which got us Independence was long over and this party has been formed by Indira ( Earlier they use to write Congress -I) . This was created as a family business where president is from their own family. So cannot sing the greatness of present KANGRESS party. get your facts right before licking theirs.

Basically you continue to be a slave of an ancient-19th-century-colonial-created-and-nurtured corrupt-congress which naturally kept itself wilfully disconnected with the people of India as it thought it'll forever be able to "run it as its' colony".....carry on in your slumber ! The Nation has moved forward to the 21st century.

How about Bharat Ratna to this great Sri Ram Vanji Sutar for his splendid work. Of course at personal level I dont encourage putting up of statues of politicians at a cost wherein u could have constructed so many good things for the common people.

All congress leaders are historical and famous and have done great deeds and are unmatched by any leader from any other party.
Be it Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose all are loved by Indians and by all other parties.
Most of the leaders from other parties are either criminals or have committed riots and therefore cannot be worshipped as same as Congress leaders.
The statues of congress leaders are also put in foreign countries and get great respect in those countries.

rubbish...every COngress "leader" of Nehru-fake-Gandhi dynasty has been a curse on India and its 1.3 billion citizens. Hope they never get close to the seat of power ever again.
this statue is nothing but the big fat ego of the pm of India. It serves no purpose. Thousands of trees and various species of wild life was destroyed only to make way for this statue. The country will never forgive modi for this personal milestone.

Not to mention more than 2,000 crores were spent on this waste activity. This money would employed many youths, eradicated poverty in small villeges and electrified many small villages.

Negative people, fit only for cleaning white peoples droppings. People like you will never let anyone create anything.
The 2000crores will be recovered in 3yrs just from tourism. The trees will grow back, and no wildlife was destroyed unlike what these anti-BJP propaganda sites like to portray.
All indians will pay thousands of dollars and go to see the statue of liberty and mount rushmore like slave dogs, and then comment about how india can never do something like this. If someone does, crabs like you will be ready to criticize for no reason whatsoever. The only reason you are criticizing is because your favorite family leader did not make this statue.

Very nicely said. As you rightly put such people will seek pleasure in lick-cleaning white people's droppings! I wish a miniature statue of his favourite family leader should also have been installed near the nail of Sardar !
