Let the people in charge of national security work without interference. Without knowing the nature of their task, it is improper to comment on our security establishment. Atleast learn from countries like US, Russia, China and Israel and see how national security is of paramount importance to them.

Gupta is a jobless journo who has earned crores of Rupees. Has nothing to do than to serve his masters discretely.
How many such questions he asked when all power was with the Italian lady ? And with Ahmad Patel.
This man Gupta must be sent to scrap yard. His value is only there.
All good except for the word "Caliphate", instead it should have been tyranny.
A Caliph never took any decision on his own. He had his own shoura council, a delegation of around 7 people who advised Caliph on key issues concerning public safety, defense, social ,economic issues.
To cite an example, the second Caliph was questioned many a times on the middle of the road by ordinary men/women if they saw anything wrong in any decision taken by the Caliph or even in his own appearance.
Now that is true spirit of democracy where no one is slave to anyone and even can question the ruler of the day if they seem something isn't right.
Lastly, we had RTI by previous UPA govt. where anyone ask questions in matters on governance, but since the last 4 years, RTI process is made almost redundant so much so that it is not neccessary to expect any reply via RTI.
At long last a fantastic policy change.Will keep the bureaucrats on their toes and make for faster delivery for the common man. What is your problem Shekhar Gupta? You would have liked the Cr00k family to have executed this reform?
My view on 3 questions raised by Mr. Gupta. 1. Ministers for Home, Defence External Affairs are political and admin experts. SPG is a group of specialists on all the matters related to security, Finance etc and hence group of domain experts dealing with the situation and then putting it for approval by CCS makes huge sense. 2. Collective policy decision is till taken by CCS based on the recommendation put forward by Expert SPG. Where is the domination of PM u are seeing in this Mr. Gupta ? 3.Chief of Defence staff may be a requirement for dealing with the extreme situation of war. Otherwise in today's complex security scenario where challenges of internal/ external / cyber / financial risks are involved, group of domain experts will be the best solution to debate and solve it. Ruling out CDS formation is your assumption. Govt has not said anything about it. At the end of the day - PM is creating a system based on the wisdom of he and his support teams including cabinet ministers and experts etc. As a PM he has that authority to create a system and it is his job. He has not told that, he will decide everything like Mrs. Indira Gandhi. How you concluded, PM has taken all decisions on his own only and not discussed / vetted by his colleagues ? Dont generalise matters of utmost importance like national security etc. just based on your hatred towards Mr. Modi and BJP. Now he is our PM. We most of countrymen believe our PM as more capable in taking right decisions than you.

Your answer lies in Rafael deal. During UPA regime, It took 6 years by the committee of defense experts to finalize 2 vendors out of 6 prospects after requisition was sent out all the world.
Once Rafael was finalized, it took another 2 years for finance committee to finalize the budget part finally another 1 year for the Manmohan singh govt. to decide.
After new govt in 2014, our PM after the famous titanic hug with French president, decides unilaterally, without even informing his own defense minister of his decision.
