Recommendation by honorable Allahabad high court is not fully implemented so only way to raise funds is the fine to those who pollute mother GANGAJI. Pollution of rivers like CAUVERY KRISHNA TAPI NARMADA GODAVARI must also be taken seriously as 1. Recycling of rivers water is ZERO 2. RAINWATER HARVESTING is neglected in almost all major Building project as LODHA RAUNAK DOSTI TATA AMANTRAN despite of payment of costly EMIs 3. Sea water salination is only in CHENNAI CITY 4. NO CITY even though of copying CHENNAI PLANT
Can the Khaki Shorts please stop blaming all and sundry and instead of accepting the blame for a very dirty Ganga. "Better than 2014" is like saying "a little bit pregnant". The Ganga is dirty and getting worse. All this talk of cleaning it is a lot of hogwash. Its just not possible given the population that bathes in it. By polulation I mean both alive and dead. Two legged and Four legged and alos not forgetting industrial pollutants, garbage and other assorted filth being thrown into it. We Indians have this great tradition and culture of keeping our houses clean BUT SURROUNDINGS DIRTY and caring two figs about it.

Yes, we have been encouraged to be dirty and spread dirt for 70 years. It is a time taking process to change people's mentality. But atleast the initiative has been taken. It is for the people to take initiative

Not cleaned but better than 2014. Can go to any Ghat wherever people go, can see the change. Regarding pollution, no one on earth can remove it, as 2 crore are added each year in India, discipline is biggest problem, one can improve known places viz. ghats, nallahs emerging in ganga etc.,etc., but what to do with chemical fertilizers used in fields by farmers having near the banks of ganga.

Corruption for past 60 years has polluted Ganga beyond comprehension. If only Congress had to take steps 60 years ago we would not have to see the plight of the holy river as it is today.
