Trump, by asking whether Haley belonged to the same tribe as Elizabeth Warren, was wondering whether she too has American Indian (Red Indian) ancestry.
Trump, apparently like most other Americans, does not have India or Indian Americans in mind at all. India and Indian Americans, as the Indian media has often reported, are simply too inconspicuous and irrelevant to most Americans, despite the tremendous hype Indian Americans make of themselves in the Indian media !
It is Ms Haley who is proving her ignorance about the fact that Americans hardly have India and Indians on their minds !
