Ayyappa Judgement !
by Viju on Nov 09, 2018 04:53 PM

The judgement by the supreme court shows how time has affected our erudition & thought even at the highest seats of knowledge & power. We have age-based discrimination at various levels of societal & governmental practices, citing various rationale. For instance, we cannot apply for government jobs beyond some age, just as we cannot become a voter below a certain age. Instead of laying down general law based on interpretation of our constitution, Supreme Court has become like a road side court, prescribing rules applicable for a select set of people, many a times only for those who approach the court; like the Chidambarams & the Mallyas, this land dispute or that temple dispute !. What stupidity is that. Hope the learned judges wake up and see the mirror before writing down judgements! Learn to correct laws to make them applicable for the societal actions as a whole & not specific to a group; deliver judgements within a year at the most. Write codes of conduct for themselves !

Indian Secularism!!!
by ashok kumar on Nov 04, 2018 09:22 AM

In the Shah Bano judgement, Indian Seculars jumped saying that court should not interfere in matters of religion!!!

Now, they are saying exactly the opposite!!!

Unless the Hindus of the country don't wake up from their long slumber and indifference, its tough to save the religion and the country!!!

Judicial bigotry
by Ravindran Major on Oct 28, 2018 10:46 AM

The incompetence and arrogance of the judges is what strikes one in the matter of the Sabarimala verdict. In matters of equality there is nobody who breaches the law as much as the judiciary. Just think of the cases pending in our courts and all those under trials in judicial custody for years on end. The judiciary must first dispose of cases on first come first served basis before it can even talk of equality.

we have to unite

I feel it is high time that people have to stand up against the Judiciary (SC) to stop it from meddling in all the affairs of the Democratic set up of India, recently every issue is being taken up there & they have started behaving in an autocratic manner which is very harmful

Hinduism, their culture of followingextreme Jat-Pat rules prove this.

Once again show their extremely confused status of mind shows up in their reaction to Sabrimala verdict pp-a-vis women's menstruation issuue as issue as if they had fallen directly from heaven, not from a mothers womb !!!!

Keralites are not one bit confused that the komaaaali party (BJP), the party of North Indian scum, is busy now with Sabarimala only for one desperate purpose - to divert the attention of as many Keralites as possible from the disaster Narendra Modi has been for the Indian economy and from the monstrously huge Rafale scam !

Please go to Kerala and see for yourself who are protesting. It is a non-party show of solidarity by a vast section of the people drawn from all castes and religions and a large section of the protesters are womenfolk of the area who know the customs and traditions of Sabarimala temple. The BJP is only lending support to the movement and is not leading the protests.

Rediff should know this. Divide Hindus at any cost.
by uday shankar on Oct 21, 2018 06:07 AM

It is more than one year now after the CPI(M) Government came to power there was a SC judgement on Piravom Church in Ernakulam that the church is to be handed over to the Orthdox by the Jacobites. The State Government has not implemented it till date saying it will create communal tension. Another judgement No bars or wine shops on the highways not implemented since it will ruin business. Then what is the hurry to implement this. I know you will not put this on the discussion Board. Also it is a pity that there are no male journalist for the job than a few activist journalist for all news media especially Republic, Timesnow, CNN, NYT, NDTV or any. The believers Vs the egoistic's. Sabarimala and Jalianwala. What a pity.

The BJPs frantic labour
by piri on Oct 21, 2018 02:46 AM

to convert the Sabarimala SC verdict into an opportunity to divert the attention of Keralites from the monstrous failures of the Narendra Modi govt and its monstrous corruption in the Rafale deal, has that familiar sinking feeling in Kerala yet again !

The SNDP (representing 27 % of the population - the Ezhavas) had refused to go with the BJPs stance on Sabarimala.

Then, the Pulayar Maha Sabha, representing the largest so called dalit group in Kerala, announced its support for the state govt on Sabarimala.

Then C.K Janu, leader of the tribal community, broke ties with the NDA in protest against the BJP.

Earlier, the Mala Araya community, traditional custodians of the Sabarimala shrine (till they were driven away by the so called upper caste groups in early 20th century) had distanced itself from the BJPs stand.

Now, the BJP is left with only the support of a section of the Brahmin sabha and a splinter section of the Nair community (represented by the NSS) !

Now, the BJP is frantically trying to increase the level of violence with its mercenaries on Sabarimala in order to try and keep the focus of Keralites there and prevent it from falling back on the monstrous record of Modi in office !

its not surprising to see the behaviour of this hyynnduus. when it came to supreme courts decision on teen taalaak, all hyynndduus were so gaga and rasping together in one voice for courts decision. now when the tide has turned and its their turn, they are showing their true colours. seems like hyynndduu women wont ever get justice in this country. shame on this people.
