Bofors gun proved its worth in Kargil in 1999. The author should know this. Rajiv was hounded for a paltry 64 crores for this gun but what about the current dispensation which has swallowed more than 20000 crores on this deal?

Rafale scam is a closely, tightly held secret thing, by none other than Modi. He thought he was very dear, irresistible and unquestionnable because of his "Jatayu" and Vasudhaivakutumbakkam godman speeches, that he will go personally to France, play with the interests of India, plug in Ambani, give prices 3 times higher for providing huge kickbacks, bluff India that a "Govt-to-govt" deal is the final guarantee of no-scam deal, and then tell Sitharaman, Jaitely, Jawadekar, Patra, the airforce top brass to sing praises to Rafale aircraft and just keep mum and bluff all along. Bofors turned out to be zero. Rafale is matchless !

Rafale has to invest 50% of the contract value in India for any kind of manufacturing activities. Activities could include anything including defence or non-defence related products. Rafale selected around 100 different Indian partners for various products. One of these 100 is Reliance Defence and they were selected to make nose cones for their Falcon business jet plane (10-12 seater plane). As per the latest report, they will only invest 3% of the amount in Reliance Defence. The other 97% will be invested in various partners like BEL, L&T, Mahindra, Godrej & Boyce, Tata Advanced Systems, etc.
This whole controversy over Rafale is a joke created by Raul baba to get cheap publicity and confuse the illiterate Indians.

So can the writer clarify why anil ambani was awarded mumbai metro project when he had no similar experience in the past? And it was dassault who selected reliance defence as an offset partners and there are 72 offset partners. Bharat electronics too is an offset partner, does it have similar experience in aircraft? Does the column writer have any knowledge on aircraft tech know how like stealth, bvr, radars, etc. He seeems an another dumbass pappu.
