When SC judges play to the gallery and accept PIL's at the drop of a hat, this is what happens. The petitioner was not a devotee of the temple at all. The cornerstone of jurisprudence is locus standi.
When true women devotees from Kerala have no issue with the ancient rule, why did the SC judges jump into it?

SC always want to interfere in Hindu religion as hindus are most tolernt. The activists like Tripti Desai are interested only in cheap gimmicks, publicity and limelight. They are not real devotees and dont understand for resons for restriction for some people in some temples of different religions.

Kerala is one State in India which is female dominated. Among the Nair community, matriarchal system is followed. Apart from that, Hinduism follows a form of worship of different bhavas (aspects) of the Supreme Lord and the deities are the ones who are ascribed specific qualities of a Nir-guna-brahma (embodiment of all qualities that does not display any specific quality). Though all are the part of the same supreme, these energies are never mixed up...just like a student of Engineering attending the Medical School. It is without prejudice to one or the other. And talking about the Supreme Court, except a few, we all remember the Court judgement on the Jallikkettu in Tamilnadu.

A small correction, but it makes a pretty huge difference. The Nair community followed a "matrilineal" system and not a "matriarchal" system. The real power rested with the males, only the succession line followed the women. That is why it was always matrilineal. Even today, the Nair Service Society is ruled and controlled by men. In matriarchy, power also rests with the women, which was never the case among Nairs.

At least they will have to arrest more than 50% of kerala population in that case. Let them do arrest. This could be the last communist government in India. time will prove.
