the man who brayed out about a 56 inch chest, has to maintain pin drop silence for fear of drawing the attention of the commoners to the Chinese stomping around on that chest !
China seems to be testing the might of our troops. They do not buckle and retreat unless the stare and glare is threatening. Some Army officers and soldiers whom I met in travel tell me they are more comfortable under the present Government under Modi. They are independent to act unlike the past where they have to await orders and become sitting ducks by the time the orders come. I don't believe rediff for the figures on transgressions but surely the Chinese army now know they cannot dare the Indian armed forces. Our brave soldiers are prepared for the dare unlike the past when they cannot react due to Government interference.

In the past, there used to be court jesters who would say things that please the king. That should not work in India now, and we have to be absolutely realistic, denying false ego, pride and really make India strong to defend ourselves. Wuhan informal summit and Sabarmati visit of Xi Jinping alone cannot do that. At least now, all must stop sycophancy. It does seem that the scramble for Rafale and Russian shield may have some definite reason. Bad mouthing earlier govt. is nothing but self deception. Remember Bangladesh war which has not been equalled by far till now. If the govt.gives up the other non-national and communal agendas, we certainly can become strong.
