spokesperson, was asked to leave a debate on NDTV after he began yelling at the moderator and accusing the channel of being *anti national* for being asked certain uncomfortable questions.
And all the while he was yelling, he did not attempt even once to answer or counter those questions about the Modi government !
The next day, the NDTV office and the residence of its promoter were raided by the IT dept !
The stated purpose of the raids was to unearth evidence for violation of foreign exchange laws by the media house. The raids continued for days and a case was filed against the channel.
It has been more than 2 years since this took place. And the IT department has been dragging the case ever since !
There have been no less than 21 adjournments for the trial - each one at the request of the IT department !
Counsel for NDTV has attended every single one of the trial sessions, only to see the court granting an adjournment to the prosecution on the flimsiest of reasons !
A hilarious example of the accused wanting to be tried and the prosecution wanting to hide !
Meanwhile, the Modi govt is apparently still busy trying to find the evidences for those foreign exchange violations by NDTV !
