India must covince " US" about the necessity of these "detecters" and india being badly in need of these ,considering the "most unpredictable " neighbours.
Since pakistan is ruled by the ROGUE ARMY & ISI, and the elected government is only in namesake, and the danger of misuse of nuclear weapons and the missile is fairly large and india has to be prepared for it.
And china is most unpredictable country which is on its way to become a hegemony by suppressing all its neighbours , pakistan , sri-lanka and many others besides dominating " south china sea " against several countries.
So the US may be requested to understand the situation and let it not encourage "sanctions" against india, as india is the only dependable and the only true democracy partner of the US.
So these purchases are a necessity of the times and this allone should not separate india from the US, under the name of "sanctions"
And the "china's hegemony" and russia's "weakness" and the "roguish pakistan", makes it necessary and a must for " togethreness" of US & INDIA.
Hope better and sharper sence prevail upon the US administration.
It is enough for India to feel safe for now from porkistaan but if you want to become formidable then produce fighter planes better then F22, F35, B2 plus drones.
India is progressing in right direction and what is common thing among China, India, Russia and even France that is S400.

ankit..ur right....last from 60 years our ability n technolgy will not purchase n dare...atleast modi done...wait for some years will make n supply ( under modi's supervision)...every one going to stop modi why? becoz he is thinking about nation...( silly mody not thinking about his poor family..shame....c gandhi family)

I would like to know whether the defense system being purchased has been tested before our experts & they have been satisfied with it's accurate performance?
S 400 detects enemy aircrafts 600 kms aways and destroys it at around 400 km distance, however enemy aircrfats will also have long range say, > 500 kms air to surface missile which can be fired even before he is detected. In such a case what could be the counter mechanism?

The Ra’ad cruise missile is an air to surface missile for the Pakistani air force. it has a range of 350km only on their jl7 Chinese bomber

S-400 is mobile and can be set up quickly. There is no technology on other missile defence system that has come even closer
