General Khanduri was a very efficient Minister under Shri Vajapee and was responsible for executing Road Projects but the main Idea and force behind Golden Quadrilateral was Shri Nitin Gadkari whom Shri Vajpayee consulted during the projects as he had the experience of constructing Mumbai-Pune Express Highway and 55 flyovers in Mumbai.
The present PM must have had his reasons for appointing another Chairman and its wrong to conclude what the reported has written.

10500 Km of golden quadrangle , and road dohrikaran at 1,30,000 Cr. wow 1500 Kms was already build bef4 it started, so 9000 kms at this price , 14 cr per Km. No one objected not even congy because all are looting till today. Khandoori mastered it under disguise of honesty.Jai Hind roads still not ready and safe (WB report)

Whatever any one may say,But General Khanduri was a very responsible and efficient Minister. He was honest also.

Get your Maths right. If the loot and mismanagement was only of the last 5 years and in a few areas then you would be right in criticizing the current Government. But every area has been corrupted. There is loot and mismanagement and loss in every area. Then where do you expect the current Government to get the money from? Inspite of all this I think the current Central Government is doing an excellent job in ensuring that key things are being taken care of.
