Our rudderless Socialism and confused Secularism has led to votebank policy based on Religion, Caste, Creed, cult etc. No poltical leader is bothered about Law and Order, good livable cities and villages, strong defence, Swaraj, Freedom, good governance etc. Get votes through hook and crook through false promises, jumalabazi and confuse sovereign citizens of India. There are various pillars of Constitutional Ruel, viz. Bureaucracy, Judiciary, Legislatures, Election Commission, Auditor's Office, and more recently- Vigilance Commissioner. For current state of India (ggod or Bad), each one has contributed. If EC was honest and efficient since independence- so many people- who have been in power- would not have been in power. Judiciary is laggard, as of their own admission. Political leadershi- less said about them, the better. Only AG office seems to have been on check on all such corrupt and inefficient people.

The opinion of Mr Justice Gogoi (that "We are divided perhaps more than ever along lines of caste" is partially correct. That is we are divided along lines of caste (and also religion) "as ever". The basic reason is very obvious - follow the news paper and other authentic articles. Then we will understand the exact reason.
