There is no opposition in China!!! Xi orders and Projects get built!!! In India, opposition politicians, fake environmentalists and human rights activists ensure that Projects get delayed by 20-30 years!!!
the demise of the Chinese republic have been at it right since its formation in 1949 !
And, despite innumerable predictions going entirely wrong (the most recent one about China suddenly ending to exist in 2011), they bravely keep at it !
China has bitten more than they can chew and digest. They have alienated friends like USA, Russia, EU and depending on relations with countries like Pak, N-korea and Iran.
They are going thru a very bad recession. We all know Chinese news is all state controlled so we don't get the exact picture.
Things are going to get worse in china in the coming years. Xi will have tough time navigating the rough waters ahead
For at least next 8-10 years I doubt there is any realistic threat. Communism or its modified form will survive in China for at least 25-30 years. After that some form of democracy may come. China will keep getting more and more powerful in the coming decades.
As more people get educated and the purpose of the system is achieved, it will have to change the single party rule to at least two party democracy system, and it will be the realty to survive further. Hence that country has wonderful days ahead.
