I feel happy for Punjab that it seems to have a very serious opposition and a good leadership at the helm. Also appreciative of the opposition of captain sahib, but we all have seen younger siblings and sons jump the gun and crack the whip, I am sure under his leadership we’ll see the transformation of a fast cricketer to a serious politician.

Yes Sidhu was in BJP from 2004 to 2017. But never able to openly support Pakistan on any issue. The moment he Joined Congress he is openly advocating Pakistan going against Punjab CM's official stance. It shows that he was under control in BJP.
