SC
by arungopal agarwal on Nov 21, 2018 10:34 AM

Since you are endorsing govt. action, why listening their case, to keep politics hot or for cheap popularity, none of the officer is terminated, as such for any disciplinary action, why SC should come in picture or favoring urban naxal advocate Prashant Bhushan.

What about SC
by ramachandiran nil ramiah on Nov 21, 2018 06:40 AM

Iam in a position to ask you question but you not. Is this not supreme court? Does SC reserves such right after issuing late and late verdict on aadhaar a not required verdict like verdict over Sabarimala issue etc. Before looking into the dust at the back of a person look at the dirt in your eyes say the bible.

HAS BECOME A PRACTICE BY ALL INVESTIGATING AGENCIES
by damodaran mohan on Nov 20, 2018 05:42 PM

I think the no nonsense CJI did the right thing. But My Lord you must admit that all the investigating agencies from CBI,ED,DRI,IB,RAW...... have been using this process of leaking details to govt. friendly TV CHs even when the investigations are in progress and before charge sheet are filed in the courts especially of the opposition leaders. The TV CHs telecast it 24x7 such premature leaks and hold public prime time debate holding a media trial especially during election times to discredit opposition leaders or anti-govt. speakers.Earlier things were not this bad but now it has become culture of these investigating agencies. CBI is the worst culprit in this.It will be good if SC can put an end to this practice.

CJI should not lose temper

CJI should not lose temper. He is dispenser of justice. When he gets angry, there will not be rational thinking.

SC`s reactions in CBI corruption issues
by daniel thorat on Nov 20, 2018 04:49 PM  | Hide replies

When all knowledge now in public domain shows that it is none other than the top single person i.e. the PM who alone could have instructed his "blue eyed" boys to do things that have been done by CBI, especially, the Special Director, specially brought in inducted by the PM, and indeed all the unConstitutional muscle stuff during past 4-5 years, the first thing SC and CJI is expected to do is to look into it and haul the PM for direct questioning. Does the hon`ble CJI`s personal tantrums and other emotions sans doing any real justice, help or is it even right? The SC has been exceptionally tolerant and looking the other way presumably because of pressures and forces the nation would like to know. The PM is only the Prime minister, but the apex court is the Supreme court and it needs to act like one for the nation.

Not a word of righteous anger or word from the CJI about the wholesale contempt being shown openly by the BJP/RSS and all parivar units about Sabarimala, Firecrackers, Ram Mandir and many other things. Would the SC like to be a mute spectator when our beloved country gets destroyed and emotionally divided in scores of chunks?

THIS TRANSPIRES THAT THE INSTITUTION CBI IS CORRUPT TOP TO BOTTOM
by subrata banerjee on Nov 20, 2018 03:54 PM  | Hide replies

Anger of CJI,of supreme court transpires that the whole institution is in doubt and their officers (from top to bottom) are somehow engaged in corrupt practices. This has been true right from UPA era and still it has been going on. Now the time has come to overhaul the system of institution and drastic punishment should be awarded to all corrupt CBI officers, so than, none other could dare to do so in future. Look at the office of Accountant General where it remained very difficult to influence the audited report. CBI should learn from AG office.

by Chaitanya B on Nov 20, 2018 04:13 PM

The only things proved by all these allegations and counter-allegations:

This govt is as corrupt as any other.
This govt has bribe-taking union ministers.
This govt has an incumbent NSA who throws his weight around to protect a corrupt union minister and his cohorts.
This govt sees the CBI as a personal goon-gang, instead of as an independent investigating agency.
The govt created parallel power centers in CBI by appointing Asthana, merely to keep a stronger grip and an alert watch over the CBI -- to ensure that the CBI never harms the ruling party.
The govt's stooge Asthana couldn't keep his hands clean and indulged in bribery of his own.
This govt panicked when its corrupt union minister was about to be exposed by Verma, and cooked up stories to oust Verma.

So, why divert attention by talking about Congress times ?

the case
by BP Mohanta on Nov 20, 2018 03:44 PM  | Hide replies

the case is too important to come out clear to people . it is not a matter of political vote banking or political fighting . if we want cbi as a honest organization then all officers of cbi must be honest . so their recruitment must be with talent on educational qualification ,experience and honesty certificate .

This affair is not about the honesty of CBI officers.

This affair is about the corruption in this govt's union ministers, and the desperation of this govt to hide and shield that by sabotaging all CBI investigations into that corruption.

WHY THIS CASE IS IN THE COURT ? ALSO NOT TO PROVE THAT THE OFFICER IS HONEST OR DISHONEST ? IF PROVE HONEST THEN THEN HE WILL JOIN HIS OFFICE . NOT OR NOT ?
