The present govt. has digged out all those left over or getting least importance, have been reinvented and given force to take it further. Even in the field of education, what he did the subsequent Govts there after never bothered about it. Even though the top brass of economists who graduated from LONDON SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS, HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOLS, MIT-USA,did nothing in these fields except making falls claims.
The entire focus of IITs were towards the NORTHER STATES, EASTERN STATE, AND SOUTH. Though western INDIA except Mmumbai there was no IIT, inspite of fast grown industrial belt, Gujarat, there was no IITs. Had the succeeding govts. of congress came out of the clutches of provincialism, castisum, our country could have progressed much faster

India would have become nuclear power in the fifties had Dr Bhabha had a free hand..This capability would have dissuaded Chinna to embark on 1962 invasion when America and the then USSR was embroiled in Cuban missile crisis.

Good to read about the man believing in inculcating scientific temper among youth.He laid a strong foundations for science infrastructure and for most of the related institutions of higher learning towards building a modern state.I salute and pay my tribute on his birthday the visionary statesman whose legacy we are all duty bound to take forward and not destroy.

Excellent article by Dr Parthasarathy. Brings out the excellent relationship between great scientist and great political leader. I was fortunate to work in the Department of Atomic Energy as a Scientist but was not fortunate to see Dr Bhabha alive. Joined the department in August 1966 as a Trainee a few months after his untimely death in the air accident in Swiss Alps.
One of the cunning and selfish person of india, What contribution he has made . What the situation now is only becoz of him.Really sad to discuss about him
