Oh, who says the BJP really wants
by piri on Nov 06, 2018 12:30 PM  | Hide replies

to oblige the devotees who are against the SC verdict ?

If the BJP really wants to bar women of child bearing age from visiting the temple despite the SC verdict, it can very easily do so by bringing out an ordinance (as it has done to have its way even on crucial money bills that have never before been brought through ordinances) !

This has been raised by many legal experts as well as by many devotees themselves.

But.....if the Modi govt brings such an ordinance and solves the problem........just what else can the BJP talk about in Kerala when it goes around asking for votes in May 2019 ?

Can it talk about Modis track record as PM ?

Can it talk about the Indian economy and it's current state ?

Can it talk about corruption ????

And.....considering that the BJP can only retreat from its 2014 positions in North Indian states, it badly is in need of LS seats from other parts of the country, right ?

So....the interest and feelings of the Sabarimala devotees are not really what is on the minds of the BJP leadership, right ?

Your conclusion is wrong. A review petition has already been accepted by SC on Sabrimala. It is possible that SC itself will reverse its original judgement. Bringing ordinance is the last resort when all other options have been exhausted.

Wrong.

Ordinances need not wait for court verdicts.

Governments can bring them anytime with a validity of 6 months.

Go check whether this is true or not.

Order of Supreme Court to be excercised in Sabrimala Temple
by nabin tripathy on Nov 06, 2018 11:40 AM  | Hide replies

There should be no prohibition of Devotees irrespective of gender. Government must ensure that Order of Supreme court is followed. People of Kerala should support Govt. Administration to remove the prohibition of female entry to Sabarimala Temple

Without knowing about that particular place, please just don't jump on this subject.

There is no gender discrimination there in sabarimala. Only women aged between 10 & 50 not allowed.

Sir, 90% of womens in kerala will never enter this temple, because they believe this ritual.

Only few activist OR women from other religions are trying to enter this temple to show their femine power...but till this moment they failed.

Wait for the supreme court decision on 13th.

High court of Kerala has already fired on state governments policy regarding this temple.

sabarimala issue
by Sudhir M on Nov 06, 2018 11:14 AM  | Hide replies

Rediffmail or other media is showing that a media person was injured, but do you have guts to show that WATER SUPPLY & TOILET facilities has been stopped by the police & government...clearly inhuman.

Other than JANAM TV no news channel are supporting the devotees.

All this things are sickening.

And I do not understand why our PRIME MINISTER is keeping mum in this issue.

Why law should interfere in the disciplinary norm of a shrine, they should only focus on inhuman traditions of religion or superstitions prevailing.
If such discipline is broken, then everyone should be allowed to enter in Parliament, SC or HC.

There is a news report on Oct30ththat quoting a judgement reads "the Govt.might keep in mind the fact that many employees may not be able to afford such an extent of monetary loss" to contribute to Kerala Govt.'srelief Fund.Equally the whole world can be expected to keep in mind that the temple administration cannot afford to provide adequate safety and protection to women folks in Sabarimali- hilly forest terrain where even men are afraid to locate and get a place to pee.In such a place if women gets mauled by a man and if she shouts also, nobody would dare to go thinking that she could be getting hauled by wild animals. It is such a simple things for ordinary mortals to understand. If this is played out so badly ,there are ulterior motives.R.PONNAMBALAM
