@Ramarao Kallepally:
Think again.
We have hugely over-burdened judiciary, with a humongous back-log that dates back at least 30 years. And the backlog is only growing.
This is true for both civil and criminal cases.
Defamation cases should get the least priority, especially if it involves politicians. It's what they all do for a living (defaming each other). And every new statement grabs the limelight of public attention pushing out all the older ones.
And there must be further restrictions on filing defamation cases. For example, why should some relatively unknown party member be allowed by courts to file this defamation case if it involves alleged defamation of Narendra Modi. Let Narendra Modi himself file it, if he wants to. Can't allow anyone else seeking publicity or internal party ambitions to file such cases.
Is judiciary impartial? I have a doubt after seeing some of the judgement? Further this fellow should have some self respect. he should think he is criticizing his countries PM. I think for some congressmen the slavery mentality has not gone from their mind.
Mr Tharoor, You have let us/people down as most of the educated class hailed your entry into national politics.You are no way less then the illiterate & illmannered politicians.

Whatever be your political views against the PM, the language used by Tharoor is unacceptable. He has eroded all public respect that a UN served diplomat would have otherwise commanded. His loud mouth MUST be punished once and for all before he spills more venomous language against a Prime Minister of our country. Criticise actions, not individuals. And that too in a decent language. Does Tharoor not know any decent English/Hindi?
