if this is inflation adjusted it would have reached 120 INR a litre if UPA govt was there. UPA baught it from late 30's to 80 plus INR in 2004 to 2014. See the freshers wage in 2014 and now. See the labers wage in 2014 and now. So why you think petrol should have been lower than UPA and dont apply inflation fig to it? Note petrol price is not just petrol price of crude oil, it has currency weakness within it, it has all the wage hikes and maintenance cost for petrol pumps, transport etc. It has all the subsidy govt has increased spending on BPL's. It also has subsidy Govt use to provide to oil companies to keep the price lower though actually in UPA term it could have reached 90 INR if not 100 INR without subsidy. So why people and media are surprised by this when they know all these things are within petrol price and it has to be inflation udjested.

aap ko to kuch ptaa hi nahi UPA purchased Per barrel rate between 153 to 160 USD and sold maximum at Rs. 65/- per litre and NDA (Modi raaj) purchased petrol between at USD 26 to USD 80 per barrel and being sold at 85.26 per litre.

I really pity your economic understanding. The crude prices have come down internationally whereas petroleum products' prices have increased in India. And you are talking about inflation in Petroleum products.

Sir, kindly talk about the present government only which is responsible for the hike of petrol and diesel prices. If UPA government would have been there now petrol rate would have been Rs. 45/- p litre and diesel rate would have been Rs. 30/- per litre because international rates of petrols were between USD 26 to USD 79.26 per barrel during NDA (Modi regime)

I have only 1 say, Whatever Surveys comes, it shows clear mandate to Modiji and BJP but Survey generally done by educated peoples and these people do not cast their vote, Hence I would not rate this survey, I wish everyone cast their vote to BJP, and give MOdiji Clear mandate, I urge all my rediff friends, please vote for BJP and give them second chance.!!!
