If the Opposition keeps mum and accepts the obvious bluff of the EC, they will deserve the defeat as in UP LS elections. If they are keen to serve the country they must protest strongly and must be vocal. The BJP is determined to use every single rupee of peoples` money for these coming elections 2019. This injustice needs to be stopped.
Certainly a properly designed electronic equipment should work even beyond 60 degrees as all these must have been checked during type testing and regular testing.Hence a technical team must be pressed to action to identify the real reason.
These excuses about heat are silly and unacceptable.
Every EVM and VVPAT is meant to be deployable ANYWHERE in India. They are supposed to have been RUGGEDIZED by design, and the testing should have verified that ruggedization.
Going by the results of UP and Karnataka, these machines seem to have "RIGGEDization" in favor of BJP, rather than RUGGEDIZATION.

Even BJP can say that it fell short of 112 just because some EVMs were been jacked by sidhdharamiya and party.
This is the most irresponsible statement from the EC. Why are the machines not tested two days before the polling day in front of all party reps ? These are only isolated elections in a few constituencies, the EC cannot manage even these. * Why are the EVMs not made rugged enough to withstand heat and cold of India ? What specifications were given to the manufacturer by the EC ? * If army's equipment can work in Ladakh and Siachen as well as the Thar desert why EVMs cannot work ? This is a total lapse on the part of the EC. They better sort out these issues before the next election and demonstrate their efficacy from minus 40 degrees in Siachen/Ladakh to plus 55 degrees in Rajasthan. * Such lapses are unacceptable. *
