Biased! Mr. Shekhar Gupta...
by Desiraju Rao on May 27, 2018 10:32 PM

Dear Mr. Gupta,
I have watched your TV broadcasts and thought of you as a rational guy. But I am shocked beyond words to see you write as follows:

1. How did Modi get here? He has perfected a new kind of messaging where he prescribes for you good things: Cleanliness, honesty, education, use of technology, but places the onus on you to do it for yourself and not set targets for himself you can judge him against. So you have to clean up, use digital cash, learn to use smartphones.

OF COURSE WE THE PEOPLE HAVE TO DO IT. LEADERS CAN ONLY INSPIRE THE PEOPLE. WHAT IS THE ALTERNATIVE ME. SHEKHAR? I COMPLETELY FAILED TO FOLLOW YOUR LOGIC

2. He stays silent on any setback...

I THINK NOTHING MORE HORRIFIC THAN NIRBHAYA EVER HAPPENED IN NATIONAL CAPITAL..IN LIVING MEMORY. IF THERE IS ONE THING I CAN NEVER FORGIVE MANMOHAN SINGH FOR, IT IS HIS SILENCE. THAT NIGHT HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON NATIONAL TV PRIME TIME. THE WHOLE COUNTRY WAS SHAKEN. COMPLETE SILENCE..

3. DITTO FOR THE DAY BABRI MASJID WAS DEMOLISHED. SECULARISM WAS BESMIRCHED LIKE NEVER BEFORE. COMPLETE SILENCE FROM THE THEN PM, MR. P.V.NARASIMHA RAO.

4. I AM NO MODI BHAKT. TODAY I SAW MANN KI BAAT. SEE HOW HE INSPIRES THE GIRLS, SOCIAL WORKERS, ENCOURAGES CHILDREN ETC ETC. I ONCE SAW HIM ENCOURAGING CHILDREN ABOUT EXAM STRESS.

MR. SHEKHAR WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE. INDIA IS CHANGING!! I am sorry to see that a sophisticated guy like you could not conceal your bias better. You are exposed Mr. Shekhar.kind regards, DLN Rao

In every institution, leadership is very important. Good leadership creates a leadership pipeline and that has happened in BJP.Modi is not the only capable leader of BJP.Young generation wants corruption free transparent governance capable of taking tough decisions. They know, miracle will not happen in a day but Modi will take the country in right direction.

The "Informal Summits" of Modi
by daniel thorat on May 27, 2018 12:32 PM  | Hide replies

Was there even a whisper about such need in the country? Was there any pressing need, any matter suddenly rising up? What have the boat rides and belying hugs and yielded for the country except some really professional photo ops for the PM? Does anyone know what has happened/discussed/agreed? Is that binding? Is there a record? Isn`t this the smartest con move? Should the nation accept it obediently just because of some mulay or some threats?

Modi deification
by daniel thorat on May 27, 2018 11:54 AM  | Hide replies

The spin doctors of Modi/BJP/RSS are hyper active after Karnataka loss of face and much unforeseen exposure of their overall ethics in life. If the youth of this country really hero-worship and follow Modi, there may be truly serious repercussions: Will they nurture a Modilike ambition to rule this country as a dictator under the garb of "democracy"? That`s not bad because it is already being tolerated. But what will result when there are more than one such youth? Will they recite some Sanskrit scriptures to one another and let the first guy become Modi 2 in peace? But Modi himself is not letting it happen yet. Knowing our countrymen well, there must surely be a lot of such people, perhaps, educated and more enlightened, less obsessed with some specific hatreds, who are pretending to be totally loyal, happy and content because of what they are getting, but deep within they do want to do more. What does this portend for India? Can the youth also think of imitating Modi in numerous other aspects, touching upon our culture, marriage institution, trustworthiness, scruples in use of the assumed power of the position? This ia a very big, populous country and there are many more virtuous, capable people, who can and should lead. Why this promotion blitzkrieg with govt.money?

Deadend of Modi Political Road
by Sheonandan Pandey on May 27, 2018 11:37 AM  | Hide replies

Success of Modi in Indian political scene lay just in perennial socio-cultural traits: (a) Impatience; (d) unstudied and hype prone responses. Unfortunately, most studies have since failed to give cognizance to this.

he view appears intelligent, but does not pinpoint what is being addressed because impatience is also a response, hype prone or otherwise ! The time of studies has passed away. If Modi is going to use all resources of the country for perpetuating him, including all ministers, MPs, MLAs,Corporators, 50,000 or more RSS swayamsewaks, all govt.machinery including everything as in Karnataka and elsewhere, and even dare involve other govt.sources of power like the army etc., then is only to be expected that he will win and keep on winning, unless and until the entire nation minus BJP rises to save itself. Unfortunatrely, the Oppn.leaders still ignore the fact that unless they unite unconditionally and stay united, they will be singled out for systematic destruction.

WRONG CRITERIA OF DEFINING OBCMaadharChodhs
by NEO HITLER on May 27, 2018 10:54 AM  | Hide replies

WRONG CRITERIA OF DEFINING OBCMaadharChodhs

1. CASTE SHOULD BE LOOKED DOWN BY MAJORITY: Yadavs, Gujjars, Jats, Patidars, etc are not looked down castes, in fact, they are dominant castes who look down other castes.

2. THE CASTE SHOULD BE ECONOMICALLY POOR: Most of Yadavs, Gujjars, Jats, Patidars, etc are prosperous people with big properties with both accounted and unaccounted income, muscle-power and money-power.

3. THAT CASTE PEOPLE SHOULD BE EDUCATIONALLY BACKWARD: Visit their localities at 8 PM, you can see YadavMaadharChodhs, GujjarMaadharChodhs, JatMaadharChodhs, PatidarMaadharChodhs, etc sitting in gangs, drinking wwhisky, playing cards and yelling at the height of their voices: BanaChodh, MadaChodh, BehenKeLauda, BoseDK, etc whereas a Brahmin prefers to spend time on reading and studying at that time. If these criminals have low literacy, it is not due to poverty and lack of resources to study; it is because they spend their time drinking, playing cards, YellingAbuses, going to RedLight areas, etc. Same trend with over 70% OBCs. That is cultivated educational-backwardness because of wealth & arrogance. So obviously they cannot be called educationally backward to be eligible for OBC Reservns.

Limit reservations to Most Backward Castes (MBCs), remove the criminals & the wealthy like Yadavs, Gujjars, Jats, Patidars, Modis, Jaiswals, Kapus, etc from OBC lists. Reduce total reservns to 40% (SC 15%, ST 5%, MBCs 15%, FCs in BPL 5%), leaving 60% for merit
