Orchestrated murders
by HariB on May 24, 2018 11:34 PM  | Hide replies

This murder in cold blood has been orchestrated by the central govt to protect Vedanta's interests. The useless state government is only all to pliant. They've made a mockery of democracy by killing innocent citizens at the behest of a corporate. Shame on them, they will pay for it.

It is high time the calm and peace liking Tamilnadu come out of that luxury to teach a lesson to these corrupt murderers and to those behind them and see that they get in return the same fate they inflicted on the people .The people pay tax to the Govt. not to get shoot at them when unarmd and to serve the interests of corporate owners,R,Ponnabalam

All Govts. in Delhi had worked deliberately against the interests of Tamils and tamilnad;Modi is no exception:he waited for elections in Karnataka in Cauvery riparian Rights affair.Established international law prohibits Karnataka as an upper riparian to stop or divert waters of the rivers to the detriment of the people of Tamilnadu without the prior and explicit approval from Tamilnadu beforehand. All those involved in this shooting and murder of Tamils in Thoothukudi and did this are enemies of Tamils and the Tamils who did are equally so to Tamilnadu. They must get their retributuion.R.Ponnambalam

This is worse than Jalian Wallbagh. At least that was colonial power. Here it is the voted Govt.It is the Govt.of Taminadu murdering the people with or without the connivance of other agencies to protect vedant's interests. This country serves only corporate sector. No wonder the top 10% people cotrol 74% national wealth and 30% people have only 1.4% national wealth. Some legal experts should cone forward in the interest of the state to put all those who did this abetted this immediately behind bars,R.Ponnambalam

sterlite owned by vedanta...regular donors to congresse and bjp...cases pending in courts against both parties regarding corruption in regards to donations to their party funds...bjp saw a way out of those cases and introduced money bill 2017 making corruptionlegal...according to his bill now anybody can donate any amount to any party and neither the donor nor the concerned political party need to tell anybody about this...no cap on donation...no maximum limit...jaitley's anonymous electoral bonds are the next step in this corrupt fundings of political parties...

so indians relax now anybody can donate 1000s of crores to political parties and get their work done...no questions asked...

Quiet likely. But no one is coming out against all these..India is busy to serve to arrange refugee rights to Rrohingyas who are said to have killed ------ as reported a few days back. These legal fraternity is not coming out for Indian people's interests. That means the country is ruled more for the interests of some Rich people.Even that long forgotten Communist party is not taking up these cases. They too have become communal talking RSS-BJP in politics-not restricting discussions to political party BJP- but never talking Foreign money flow to other purposes. If they talk about all the parties all in the same veneer one can accept.Their talks also present them as communal driven party like the Congress. Can we come out with a list of people who have bank loans above 5000 crores and their names in Public. What our parliamentarians of all parties had evaluated that and raised questions in parliament R.Ponnambalam

Are we still under British rule ?
by BHAGIRATHI GIRI on May 24, 2018 11:55 AM  | Hide replies

It seems we are still under British rule. Police are firing on our own people and making sure they are dead. When govt is forced to use rubber bullets and exercise maximum restraint at other parts of country , why not same is applied in TN or in other state.

It is unfortunate incident. Why police fired instead of using tear gas, lathi charge, rubber bullets ?. Whoever involved in this incident must be punished. It is evident DMK or Cong. must have instigated the crowd to create issues. From the statement of JKR RaGa it is very clear that his party is involved in this act.

I think it was too harsh to fire and Congress and BJP are both involved m BJp would have pressurized govt and Congress would have instigated the crowd

Briti Co with Ind name
by Pinaki Pandit on May 23, 2018 10:48 PM  | Hide replies

We tend to think that just because there are no Brit shahabs we are free.
It is not true. The imperialists are said to hold strategic holding in most corporations that matter and influence policy.
And then there are content companies, books, films etc. but because people are now consuming content elsewhere we notice hype about COs like Cambridge Analytica(CA).
The CA is said to be owned by the same group who control most TV serials, news, and politicians in India. So there is no way we can think free. Not we as people nor our representatives.

And its not just us, the same Co now in hype is said to have influenced US elections, Russia and elsewhere. And what is the result.
They had info of a faint undercurrent of anti-Semitism in Russia-Europe region, so we haveJerusalem controversy sugar coated withIran.
Similar things happened before secondWW, and many would argue Hitler was a creation of micro targeting of a primitive type.
But what is worrying is that strange things are happening in our neighborhood as well and that’s where it becomes a world issue.

should interfere, order an enquiry into the working of the copper plant and find out environmental issues by it. If they come out clean, then agitation should stop or else plant should shut down until they follow it. If they claim they follow, SC should inspect again

Is there a difference ?

The State govt has been a complete puppet of the Central govt ever since Jaya got hospitalized, and the whole world knows the unholy nexus between Vedanta group and the BJP.
