although all the languages can not grow and prosperous at same pace, because ultimately its the bread and butter which keep predominance over all other issues. however, we may keep it live through efforts primary begin at home and secondary by social groups and finally by system.

Multiple languages

Indian children should learn 3 languages each (2 Indian). Actually most children living in states other than their native states do. That helps us not only in terms of languages learnt but also in brain development.

No wonder all languages will die
by Jayaprakash Balan on Jun 12, 2018 06:01 PM  | Hide replies

Its not a wonder that all languages will die with more thrust and importance given to English language especially in the world of jobs. Also its a shame that parents do not encourage children to learn or know native language even mother tongue as they consider it unwanted and not up to the standard of English especially required for getting jobs. And knowing and speaking English is considered stylish. Its real shame that Indian civilisation and culture who has given us such beautiful languages are becoming extinct. The only way to atleast save the state language is that all over all documents and all communication should have first the state language, then national language Hindi and only then English. And preference should be given even on jobs by all Companies for those who are knowing residing state language and those who pass Indian language in 10th and 12th as an additional subject or one Indian language should be made compulsory to be studied and passed till 10th and 12th. Else for sure Indian languages will be history especially in the fast paced digital world.

Hindi is not the National language which please note. That said, English will be buried in the days to come, what with the standard that exists today and in the future! So, one of the languages that is dying in India, which has all along kept Indians in competition globally, is ENGLISH.

when Indians so abroad there language stays with them tens of generations, multiple languages coexist. so it seems it is the majoritarianism that kills the ability to communicate and receive.
