bottomless stupidity of a large number of Indian commoners that they believe in earnest the shrill words of Narendra Modi that he is not corrupt !
For more than a decade, Modi headed the most corrupt state government ever in independent Indias history, stonewalling all moves for the institution of a Lok Ayuktha and being named most often by the CAG for wholescale pillage of public wealth by diverting it to a series of crony capitalists.
As PM, Modi continued that tradition, far outstripping every other previous central govt in diversion of the public funds of India while ceaselessly talking about fighting corruption !
His stupid followers, dazed by the constant stream of high pitched monologues coming from him in the typical earthy language that appeals to them and numbs their meagre senses, just could not understand why anyone would ever need to point at the record election campaign expenditure the BJP has effortlessly incurred in election after election.
They just do not have the wherewithal to understand how those vast sums of money are mobilised and how this is closely linked to the series of massive scams (topped by the Rafale scam) that just keep coming !
The dutiful followers also just cant see any fault in the govt for the statement of the judge of the CBI court while dismissing the prime 2G scam accused (Anil Ambani, Raja and Kanimozhi). He stated that the CBI, for the last 2 years, wilfully did not pursue the case and did not present evidences and kept sending junior officers for the hearings !
Just why Modi went in very shrill campaigns during the 2014 LS election about the 2G scam and made it the keystone of his pretensions to fighting corruption and then proceeded to make the CBI weaken the case completely escapes the dimwits that most of his followers are !
