Let P.M. come forward to check political interefence in administ
by R ponnabalam on May 15, 2018 04:56 PM

"People of Karnataka want good governance, "All India wants good governance. It is uniformly absent in all throughout India.First the Govt. offices must work effectively. The IASdom should be made answerable for the corruption in administration. If they keep saying politicians are interfering, let them come out in open.Somewhere it has to start. Now the Govt. cannot take action quoting service rules if the administrative set up people air their opinion in Public .Nobody had questioned the recent Press conference that drew much attention. There cannot be different rule for different services.Would P.M.Modi come forward to tell that administration can talk openly about political interference and for that administration would not be victimized R.Ponnambalam

Premature celebrations
by Thing on May 15, 2018 04:50 PM

BJP is celebrating prematurely. Look at voting percentages and story is clearer. Congress retains its voting percentage, BJP gets marginally better while JDs actually gets lesser than last time. The only major difference is that Yeddyurappa has come back to BJP and that had brought additional seats and affected Congress. In fact Congress was doing well till Modi began his campaign and that brought the floating percentage to the BJP.

Jayaprakash Balan
Full credit to Modi and BJP
by Jayaprakash Balan on May 15, 2018 04:07 PM

Whatever the Congress, opposition parties and Modi-haters may say, the fact is that they cannot deny and even accept the fact that Modi has some charisma and definitely the one point is that Modi and his governance is much better than others. Karnataka win proves a point for BJP that its not just the so called educated urban who votes for him, but even the rural people have slowly favoured Modi and BJP even if their lives are not changing much or haven't changed in past 4 years of Modi rule. Definitely, its a choice between worst and better if not best. Because Opposition, especially the Congress and Rahul is only going downward worser and worser with each passing day. Even their old horses have become good for nothing now and they should leave the party and take sanyas so that young blood come up. But if young bloods are of the kind of mindset and intelligence of Rahul then there is no scope for Congress to avoid extinction. There is no further point to be proved that truly Bharat has become Congress Mukt now.

Sabka sath sabka vikas???
by Sandeep Singh on May 15, 2018 03:13 PM  | Hide replies

I don't think so. Muslims, Christians, Dalits and Vokkaligas of Karnataka have unanimously rejected saath and vikas by BJP!!
People of Karnataka cannot be thanked for giving such a fractured mandate...I believe BJP leaders are too ecstatic on these results..

"Muslims, Christians, Dalits and Vokkaligas."BJP may not be a good party or may be a good party "It is still a party that wants to win at all costs like the Congress and mostly behaves as a North Indian Party .It's favourtism to Karnataka denying Internationally respected riparaian rights to Tamilnadu is as bad as that of the Congress. If international norms or universal norms are not respectable in India why India at all to make us outcast from international norms. But can we have politics "as Muslims, Christians, Dalits and Vokkaligas"This defies the logic of one man one vote and makes Power lies with the Strong ie the strong group. No religion has a place in Politics. If it seeks a place it befouls politics and Religion >It is sheer exploitation and is going on for lone in India.R.Ponnambalam

what about the Venomous campaigns of media including rediffmail a
by ANAND BALASUBRAMANIAN on May 15, 2018 02:33 PM  | Hide replies

It is the same story repeated in every recent elections. The so called, self styled forward thinking media including rediffmail were living in a dream world where Modi's defeat would be certain and BJP would fail to get majority, people's anger against BJP, Modi's policies, etc. but the results would invariably say a different story. This is happening before and after every elections for the past few years. Instead of living in fantasy these self styled intelligentsia should stop day dreaming and do some introspection otherwise people will loose faith in these media people. Let India get a total change in leadership from south to north from east to west so that corruption is eradicated and minority and dalit appeasements are stopped and let there be an inclusive development. Let the so called intelligentsia think over whether the Congress / mayavatis/ Yadavs have done anything really for the dalits / minorities during past sixty years except using them as merely for vote bank politics. Also take a list of all politicians from all the other parties including Congress, DMK / AIADMK, RJP/SP, etc. who have atleast been minister once either in state or centre and see there net worth. Most of them are having Engineering Colleges/Medical colleges/ Big Hotels / other industries obtained because of huge illgotten wealth. Atleast Modiji is trying to stop the trend and let it be allowed so that the next generations be free of corruption where equity prevails. Jai Hind.

Your first question BJP winning go through the history of Karnatake the kannadigas are always wise voter. this time they vote BJP last time they vote congress, before that BJP. this is must unlike UP Bihar. to shine India this tread is required secondly always think two parties govt instead of alliance. but in Indians voter only kannadiga are wise voter and this is to be required. who is ruling no question. for this state election PM,President, Yogi, Smrit, Javedkar and many more central ministrs are participated. there is general election is there will see. that is the main election to develop india. only congress muktha bharat will not work. suppose tomorrow PM is not there then what is the result. today people vote for PM and not any other leaders. it means BJP without Modi and no second man. no one will like Shah in BJP this is the fact. wait what result will come during 2019 general election. wait and see and forget to vote only two national parties.

No, I don't think they are all that wise after all. Vokkaligas voted for JDS; Muslims/ Christians/Dalits voted for Cong and Lingayats/upper hindus voted for BJP. This shows deep fissures in kannadiga society which will make clear mandate very difficult!!

The last six lines hit the nail on the head. The ruling class clan of all hues with no exception had done incalculable damage to Indian Economy and Indi'a stature and well being .That works in favour of the present ruling line up.Our GDP club is silent on how Sri Lanka has achieved double the Per Capita income of India. All the ill gotten wealth of all have to be digged and Ploughed back for the nation. If some words are taken as veiled threats by some ,the common man will think that the empty purse doesn't fear a heist, but the thick purse.77B57 R.Ponnambalam
