Since Cambridge Analytica, all such companies are suspects

It is strange that this company CMS , suddenly come up with strange statistic independently.
What exactly do CMS do ? How they are funded etc needs to be explored.
We have so many these NOT FOR PROFIT ( United states of America version of an NGO) sprinkled in India doing what they do ( and why do they do ?).
Are these companies funded by foreign nations such as the USA to gather critical information ?
