Crores of cases are pending, common men suffer but lower courts to Supreme courts will be closed for
almost one month. Is it correct to go on such a long
holiday when rest of nation will keep working.Time has
come to reduce such long holidays.

Collegium?
by V Nagarajan on May 12, 2018 09:29 AM

Collegium is neither in the Constitution nor passed by the Parliament (LS/RS).So,what is its constitutional validity. How can a unconstitutional body dictate terms to a constitutionally elected Govt? How can a recommending body insist/demand on its implementation? Its job is over with recommendation.

UNANIMOUSLY.....?????
Are we supposed to believe that 42 judges senior to Joseph, All Dalit Judges, all judges from North East.....they all agreed that they are all incompetent...!!! and Joseph is the only person competent enough to sit on the bench !!!!!
Impossible.
There is something wrong.
Corrective action needs to taken immediately, otherwise it will become a precedent.
God save the institutions of this country.

Our Dalit Brethren , and Our Brethren from North East; will not forget this injustice meted out to them.
It amounts to telling that 42 judges senior to Joseph are incmpetent, and No Dalit person or Person from North East is competent enough to sit on the bench......Judges senior to Joseph should resign enmasse, Dalits/North East people should make sickulicks bite the dirt at the hustings in elections.

Judges selecting Judge.

Is this a Right method. Now this person is a human being. Naturally like any other human this man also bound to have some grudge against this government. Possibility is that his judgement could be against the views of government.

Let truth and only truth prevail. Justice Chelameshwar and others are hell bent on politicizing this issue by going to the Media and being adamant, they have also time and again shown their political inclination as well as ambition. God save our Judiciary from these Judges.

Do you honestly believe the reasons given by the Govt. for opposing the name of Justice Joseph as legitimate?

May not be. But remember one of the collegium system itself had noted that the selection of collegium is not transparent. If my memory goes right that was Justice Chelameshwar. Now what is your view. Judge appointing judge is not at all correct. There could be bias in selection.

I remember this as a college going student then. When the Time capsule was inserted on officer of Administrative cadre- if my memory doesn't fail me his name was Mr.Badrinath -expressed opinion against the contents in it in Public. To general Public his views were right and valid. He was suspended. Then the news paper report quoted the C.S. of the state telling that that officer should have expressed opinion by being outside the administrative service.Well nothing came in newspapers thereafter on this.Ordinary mortals felt he might be a serious student of history. The Press conference is to be judged against that context of service rules.Honesty and legitimacy!! In Public life in India. One cinema song comes to mind"Poet the -great ,born in and amidst lies and grown up in and amidst lies".India has different rule for different man; There is absolute favoritism.See the collegium ,yesterday it was making Public show ;today all is well that ends well .Posts restored Equality is available by mistakes of some one not be design"R.Ponnambalam
