Judges coming out in public against their own brother judges for their personal agenda never happened before also..... Sort out your mess yourself and then come to public.. Judges are NOT delivering justice anymore..they are delivering adjournments most of their court time. Cut out adjournments and public addresses and start delivering justice fast to public..

If government has reasons for not accepting the collegium's recommendation, such reasons should be included in norms so that in future no recommendation falling within the mischief of such norms is even contemplated by the collegium. Transparency is the hallmark of a democracy and all democratic institutions must function with transparency rather than adhoc-ism. Judges going public in press conferences against government is disastrous and show bias on part of the judges. Seeking cheap publicity was never a feature in the DNAs of judges in the past. Alas! the last bastion of democracy needs to be salvaged from such deviating individuals.
If you are sending the recommendations to govt who has powers to either accept or reject, then you should expect both answers. If the answer is not in favour then you say, it never happened before means you are not ready for accepting the answer. In this case the system itself is at failure. Till date then both the parties in collusion may have used their powers to benefit someone and get in return something. So there is a suspicion on the intention of the people who are recommending for the posts.

Absolutely true. This nexus between politicians & Collegium needs to be brought to the fore & disbanded.

Mr Gupta. Agree with your comments. There is always a confrontation between Judiciary and the Government at the center. Both of them always want to show who is superior. The judiciary alone should never be given right to select the candidates for the post of judges at the High court and Supreme court to avoid misusing power by them.
