It is surprising and also unfortunate that people like Kalyan Mitra, still support the Terrorists and Separatists, instead of the Indian army.
There are more management schools in this country than elementary schools. It may be easy to get into a good pre-school in India but it is a cake walk into a business school and earn MBA.
And there are numerous articles in the media on the QUALITY of Phd in India. It goes without saying that like the quality of research reflects the quality of teachers. Gettig a PhD in India is not as formidable a task as it is outside India. So do not read too much into Educational back ground and this insurgency stuff.
Finally , in a country like India where graduates of professional courses like B.Tech and M.Tech compete to get even a Class D employee in government sector, it is not uncommon that we have too many MBAs and PhDs than needed.
Whats the educational back ground to do with what people do in this country ?
Is it not true that the trash of the education system end up in Media and hence we get to see this kind of garbage ?
On a serious note, if you look at the Naxalbari movement, many top leaders were from Presidency college and even today some of the hard core Naxal leaders as it appears in media have brilliant academic back ground.
Basically what reports like this do is convey an underlying message 'look, how well read people are doing this insurgency stuff. So it is ok' which is dangerous.
Misceivous headline based on false numbers, from a author and his patrons who have a vested interest to show this nation in a poor light. You did not write about the number of students and candidates who are getting admitted to top institutions and to IAS also as they are joining the mainstream. As for your so called MBA and PhD these fellows must be those from the anti-national, leftist-communist colleges/univs like JNU.

Hey Phony, What would you term the 'Bharat Tere Tukde Tukde ..' and 'Azadi Hum leke Rahenge ..." chants that resonated in the extremely leftist JNU and Jadavpur Univs? Obviously you will not answer it ... since they have obvious links to the Kashmir Valley.

Bharat tere tukde honge never resonated in JNU ....these are lies spread by media like zee news and Republic. ..govt knows the truth but will keep quiet because it suits them...it is rss bjp who is doing tukde tukde india which was unified in one democratic secular india from 500 plus tukde tukde princely states
