Yes it is dangerous call as same thing Modi ji did with Nawaz Shariff by attending his private function. But given the fact that by doing this he himself stacking his name not national pride.
It is no harm in taking such risks because duration of inactivity like Manmohan did for 10 years left us unaware about the thinking of supreme leaders around the world.
Such actions will definitely cool off situations and help in getting support for permanent seat in NSC.

The same mistakes as Nehru made and we as children at the time, were shamed by defeat to China! Will happen again - Various empires and rules over India, now it is the turn of the Chinese Rule.
Risky in the sense that our PM and two ministers visiting China for an "informal summit", read all paid for junket, WITHOUT BEING INVITED, with no hot topics or issues, was like an unconditional, unconcealed solicitation of unspecified something, which nobody knows. Xi Jinping himself went through the motions and under Chinese culture and conventions went along. This is what an inexperienced, novice would pin his hopes on for some miraculous, undreamed outcome. The question is simple: if this was a good, logical idea, when the PM repeat that with other countries, and if it was not so good, how about letting the people know what prompted him in the first place. I think there has been a change in the international stature and dignity of India, since nobody reacted favourably, of course, because they do not know a thing, like ourselves. The absence of any undoing in the Doklam situation on the Chinese side does look like a dangerous gamble.
