Risky in the sense that our PM and two ministers visiting China for an "informal summit", read all paid for junket, WITHOUT BEING INVITED, with no hot topics or issues, was like an unconditional, unconcealed solicitation of unspecified something, which nobody knows. Xi Jinping himself went through the motions and under Chinese culture and conventions went along.This is what an inexperienced, novice would pin his hopes on for some miraculous, undreamed outcome.The question is simple: if this was a good, logical idea, when the PM repeat that with other countries, and if it was not so good, how about letting the people know what prompted him in the first place. I think there has been a change in the international stature and dignity of India, since nobody reacted favourably, of course, because they do not know a thing, like ourselves. The absence of any undoing in the Doklam situation on the Chinese side does look like a dangerous gamble.

That does not concern the Vatican, but even Nagpur should not have anything to say now. What is lost is some part of our self-respect. If the high dignitaries like the PM and other two ministers go to China and do not have the freedom or courage of talking about the Doklam and other real issues, it means that we were effectively told to keep quiet. That does not augur well for India.

Why attack Sonia and RaGa, who are Indian citizens, serving India. If Modi is allergic, it is he who would need treatment not RaGa etc. Unless the EVMS or other weighty factors do not succeed, the writing on the wall for Modi does not look very promising.
