With Mamta at the helm of Bengal Government east of Hoogly river is the target of ISIS backed and mulla supported and aided by appeasement policies. These violences in recent years has terrorised the general people and giving constant support to radical muslims, and forcing some hindu radicals to take advantages of the prevailing situation. As of now people are watching apprehensively. But sooner than later people will have to take a decisive call, otherwise another East Bengal like situation(1920-1945 like environment- when well to do people migrated from erstwhile East Bengal to West bengal rest were left at the mercy of rioters)will arise in east of Hoogly river where demography is changing fast.

Neither in Malda riots, nor Dulagarh, there were no press present when the incident happened. In fact there were strict orders to ensure the press did not get an access to these areas for days in the immediate aftermath. Today the only version of the riots is Didi's version.
Now suddenly the press is all over the place in real time capturing the riots including the injured policeman. Amazing how things can turn around when certain community is involved
