Are you able to bring back the black money, as promised. Did you get any black money by demonetization of 1000,500 rupee note?

I think the Minister is right. In fact I have been scratching my head to find out what real private information the adhaar card has got.

It has all your bank account details, it has pan card details, it has your credit card details, It is having more almost all the information of you than you can think off... One day you may wake up and see that some has taken all your money from your account or some made a large transaction from your credit card.. And beauty of this is that you cannot do any thing, Be prepared for that..

Aadhaar
by Arc kay on Mar 26, 2018 01:30 AM

Is a good starting point like social security number in USA. It is required for every activity like job applications, loans, credit cards and hospitals. It can help in filtering illegal migration and also help track bad people who try to escape the law. But funny thing is, it may not be productive in a country like India where we have two worst corrupted parties.

Wayside defecator, I hold a PGDM from IIM, Bangalore.

And, if it interests you, I took the CAT as a general category candidate and have an engineering degree. This is the toughest channel in the CAT.

Wayside defecator, can you even dare to take the CAT and see where you will stand ?

The need for a unique id
by Sachin Nair on Mar 25, 2018 10:40 PM  | Hide replies

I am sure all of us agree that a unique id enables tracing of transactions.
Are there any doubts on that? Is there an alternate mechanism to trace and track?
My house owner tells me that BJP should take off PAN Card too.

We already had unique ids like PAN card and passport. Why a new one then? Now if the logic given is there were already many duplicate PAN cards - then is the solution launching a new card? If something goes wrong with Aadhaar after a few years, will they again launch another new ID card?

@Gurughantal:

There is no rule that people who do not pay income tax will be denied pan.

It's just not mandatory for them. That's all.

So, if there is a need to cover everyone, why not make pan mandatory rather than introduce aadhaar?

PAN cards do not carry bio-metrics (IRIS and Thumb print).

Since 2014 more than 60 lakh duplicate PAN cards were discovered.

Is your house owner paying tax for the rent you are paying him.
If he is not, then yes he is right, the PAN card also should be removed as it is serving no purpose.
Also is he giving you the receipt for the actual amount of rent you are paying him ?

Just because he stripped....
by Chaitanya on Mar 25, 2018 10:35 PM  | Hide replies

I've travelled abroad and lived abroad.

I never had to strip.

But I'm sure the honorable minister is not lying. He must be speaking from HIS OWN EXPERIENCE.

He probably belongs to a frequent flyer frequent stripper club.

Again, it looks like you and this minister have traveled and stripped together.

I never had to do it, and I've never heard of anyone having to do it, until now.

I repeat, it's a lie to say that everyone traveling to the US has to strip.

And you repeat, that it is done at all airports in the US.

I don't have to say any further.

US has its own system, which is best for them, They have highest level of security available for information stored at their server... Do we have same level, Almost all the government employee's are corrupted.. your information (credit, debit, bank, details) may leak any time.. you wake up one day and see your bank account balance is zero, or some one made a large transaction using your credit card.....

Proves his idiotic roots, this minister
by Suman Ghosh on Mar 25, 2018 10:29 PM  | Hide replies

How dumb can one be I wonder. This idiot doesn't even realize that people do not oppose the government collecting all this data - we did it earlier for obtaining multiple things like passport etc. But it is about how this number is being linked to every activity I do, as a mass surveillance tool. And of course, the data breaches that are leaking my data to thousands of business entities for their profit without my consent. But how will this minister know that - one requires at least some basic education and common sense for that. If he had these, he wouldn't be a BJP member anyway, just like the hordes of brainless BJP bhakts.

I have an option of NOT joining Facebook. It doesn't have my biometrics. It is not linked to my bank accounts, credit cards, insurance policies, mutual funds. But Aadhaar is. And it is being forced down our throats, whether I like it or not, without any data protection laws. Need I explain more?
