Certainly there must be confusion, as the scheme is announced in the budget with some statistical data only, but how they are going to implement, what are the parameters to decide cost of the agri production, how to provide quality seeds, how to remove duplicate seed manufacturing companies, availability of fertilizers, how they are deciding support price, initial agri loans for small farmers and bankers role, crop insurance, mechanism, what is the role of states and panchayats, role of markfed and involvement, supply chain management, how to remove middle people while selling the production by farmers, awareness of programmes, etc., are not clearly mentioned in the scheme. Hence, there would be confusion among the agricultural related persons mentioned above. Govt. should focus on all the issues prepare the farmers to utilize the scheme in true spirit.

this line from newsclick article published last month. In Nashik, the farmers were forced to sell onions at Rs 2 per kilo against the average cost of production of Rs 6 per kilo. While, in October-November period of 2017, the retail price had gone up to Rs 70-80 per kilo in Nashik market. In some season, after transporting the produce to the market and incurring a huge loss, the farmers came to know that the prices had crashed to as low as Rs 50 paise per kg.

Now the same vegetable which sells at RS 2 from farmer, how it is selling for 70 to 80 INR like last Oct. There is corruption, black marketing, artificial scarcity, supply hoax, fake paradox of crop destroyed in storage is created by corrupt middle men and traders, but even then how it is sold at 25 times more price from farmers till retail shop.

Now vegetable vendors borrow money from money lenders. He pays 10% interest to the money lender (200 Rupees), he pays squatting charges (official) to the Municipal Corporation, he pays unofficial charges to the encroachment department, to the local goon, to the local corporator, to the local police and to the garbage contractor.

And all of that comes from you!

And that is what makes tomatoes that are selling for Rs 1/- in wholesale turn into 15 Rupees per Kg for you.

You are eventually paying for all the corruption and all the expenses of the vegetable vendor. Who will break this vicious cycle?

First of all there is no confusion on your price poilicy. it is MSP= 1.5 x (A2 FL). now the catch is who is fixing the A2 and FL? it is the niti ayog sitting somewhere in delhi and forcing local officials to give reduced figures. so the A2 FL is by itself a discounted figure. that is why we call modi , baniya modi. if he has no money let him say so. we will give him alms. we gave food to people. giving alms is no problem. but let him come to our door steps and beg. then we will give him alms. let him not lie to the farmers. reg burning of residue. Your MNREGA scheme has resulted in labour shortage. so if the farmer has to carry back the residue to his farm and convert it to manure it is financially not viable. so they burn it. we dont need modi's lectures on waste management. we will stop using urea. produce will come down. so the reduced produce multilplied with your discounted MSP will give a reduced turnover. will your assistant jaitley compensate that loss. since urea is reduced you will save on dollar outflow. will you share that benefit with the farmer? so, stop giving lectures mr. modi. do your politics you are good at with your fellow politicians , not with the farmers. you asked us to grow pulses. we did. prices fell. you were not there to help us. so dont tell us what to grow and not not to. sorry if i hurt many.
