Gorakhpur was one of BJP's safe loksabha seat in entire India. BJP kept winning this seat since 1989. This time BJP lost inspite of huge victory in state election last year and both CM & PM belongs to BJP AND this is home constituency of UP CM who is projected as most popular hindu & CM face in UP & being projected as future PM. Its huge huge loss. Admit it !!!

auryas - agreed- no doubt these are only two seats.but why very low percentage of voting (43%) and usualy it shoudl favour rulng party ? it means that voters are disinterested (who otherwise would have voted for BJP). it wont take much time for disinterested voter to become a angry voter and vote against . Alarm bells !! also consider the recent loss in rajathan LS seat again one seat only but losing by a large margin .. Alarm bells !!
