CBI is a department made to investigate and prove the irregularities whether is criminal or financial. They had investigated and proved many cases. That is their duty. They are not magicians. It would be wise if those criticizes them start a private detective agency to prove their efficiency. This question is irrelevant.

Ramachandra N fully agreed with u, and in fact they are far worse than useless, this man writing this column himself has been consistently writing against most of the nation's most indispensable offices , agencies or policies. He is being given this band width by rediff only because of the position and the agency he is supp0osed to represent and getting away with it. Given his rationale and logic the country is supposed to do away with even boosting the defense structure and resources while significantly threatening military build ups by china somehow so conveniently escapes his attention.He had written an article some weeks back saying that defense spending is a scam for a democracy.
Why a criminal organization called amnesty international is required? To broker the arms deal for terrorists? To incite violence in the name of religion? To encourage and finance the religious conversion? To make poverty an industry and earn money out of that? To deceive gullible hapless people under the veil of humane service? To grab the land of tribals in remote villages? To facilitate in human trafficking? To promote flesh trade under the guise of yellow journalism? To act on espionage to harm India? To act as money laundering agent under the cover of donation? Tapar Cattle, do you have any reply?

Where did you get this information about Amnesty International? This organisation is dedicated to the release of prisoners of conscience who languish in jail for years just because of their fight against injustice. Among the prisoners whose release was effected by the organisation are Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan of Pakistan and Sheikh Abdullah of India. Amnesty International received the Nobel Prize for Peace among other honours.
