as a layman i will think of some solutions to avert air ways incidents , you may be of laughter but still i insists a little bit to think this 1)the flight status (engine or any other tech)should be examine remotely by an expert for landing or before take off if possible.2) The seat belt should be of so smooth so that one button press can open it in emergency by the passenger.3)Most important is that i was heard of passengers giving parachute in older times in helicopters; but in short distance flight , parachute may be issued to each individual to eject as an when required (although not easy) 4) emergency landing zone nearby airport.thanks
