MANIK SARKAR to live in CPM party office
by ganesan viswanathan on Mar 11, 2018 08:55 AM

He set a example of how he is dedicated to his party and the people of Tripura, who has been a CM for 25 years & yet do not own a house. An example to the politicians across the country.Govt should allot quarters to him as a true gesture of his public service.

Great person, whichever party one belongs
by Jayaprakash Balan on Mar 09, 2018 02:59 PM

Whether we like or hate any politician or any party, any individual should be saluted for the person's honesty and that too to such a person who has been in powerful and influential post be it in politics or in Government service or any social position. Though like Sarkar life's real fact is that everybody becomes shelterless once we leave this world, but still we struggle, die and do all sorts of things to accumulate all those materialistic things. So, Manik Sarkar has to be saluted and appreciated. He is one of the rarest people in public life without any much earnings. Well, for such people, one thing will always be there, that is happiness and mental peace. Anyway, having ones own even 1 room is a nice thing and hence either the Govt. or the people who love him or the CPM party should buy one for him and his wife to stay. That's the way honesty is appreciated.

20 years CM now shifting residence to Party Office, in India!
by on Mar 09, 2018 12:00 PM

If the outgoing CM Mr. Sarkar has been having so simple a living, so also should have been his associates in the CPIM Party, if that is so why the CPIM lost the elections. It has been noticed that the BJP caught hold of the Congress MLAs onm the outgoing Assembly, and won this election on purely Congress votes. This unprecedented situation, firstly to blame Congress leadership to leaving the Tripura Congress in the lurks,it appears the Congress is as good as without a leader, and how long BP can hold on this tactics. North East blooming of the lotus is purely I say purely a day dream with a day's life only. The people omitted their anger on the existing set up, which will certainly reverse back in the next elections, but it is a good rather very good lesson to the existing parties to realize that if they don't take care of the voters welfare, no one, no party ill survive a second term, as the social media is very active to keep the people kept well aware of what is happening around them, so politicians be very very careful....... be it in any party all are clubbed equal, no differentiation.

Sir during 50s & 60s MPs & MLAs were like that. They think it is an honour and respect. Later it becomes business - investing in elections and reap. Those politicians who won were made to give certain percentage to their party for contesting in the next election. They were allowed to be corrupt by the leadership. Bureaucrats are also allowed to do so as thru bureaucrats only it could be done. Hence top to bottom become corrupt. Right, strict and rule bounded Officers are being hated by general public too. Not amenable officials are being given dummy positions.
