Defence is left to the frontline jawans goaded by everyone. Once they go there and die and come back in coffins, the entertainment is over. Those who come back alive are suspect, like the subject of this article. They are good enough for photo ops, more miserable and pitiable, the better the contrast with a filthy officer.
The fellows in Indian bureaucracy have no shame ! They all join pronouncing to bring in change, but count pennies for themselves and their peons the rest of their working lives. They loot the people and pay themselves and other sarkaris through commission after commission. Any Govt which offers resistance is scuttled in a way even the politicians can't imagine. That is how insidious they have become.
The filth is overflowing with bank after bank showing its diseases - euphemistically called non-performing assets. To compare these fellows with rats is insulting the rodent family!
It is shame that Soldiers are treated in shoddy manner by the bureaucrats and Babus.Surprising even the criminals undergoing Jail terms in Andaman were given Pensions as freedom fighters but not the soldiers like Veera.I am surprised why in spite of court orders he was denied Pension.I think all connected with the file must be Jailed for contempt of Court. Is Court scared of Bureaucrats?

his date of birth was written as 1928 by mistake where as his adhaar card shows 1926 . this small mistake was taken as an excuse to cheat him arrear pension of 30 years 1980- 2010
HAD HE BEEN LINGUISTIC FIGHTER AGAINST HINDI HE WOULD HAVE BEEN GRANTED INSTANTLY. BUT HE KNOWS HINDI AND REALLY A FREEDOM FIGHTER. SO ONLY PENSION WAS REFUSED.

These freedom fighters were mutineers for the britishers and not for we Indians. They fought for the freedom of India may be alongside the Japanese.
