Yes, majority of voters are of post MGR rule

Rightly said. Majority of voters are of post MGR rule and much of the voters today are not concerned or might not know the history of MGR and his stature and governance. Today's voters especially youngsters are the ones who want to know and are eager what the politician has for them for today as well for future. Nobody either respects or are governed by history. Though its good of Rajnikanth to take inspiration from MGR on his political career, Rajni would himself has to show and prove what he is capable of and for what has he taken plunge in politics because being a popular film star and being a politician are two different sides of coin. Film star lives in fantasy world but as politician you have to be among the poorest people and see life in the harshest ways which a film star would never have even dreamt off, if Rajni wants to prove himself to be good. So rather than riding on his mass hysteria popularity and resorting to gimmicks he should understand and learn real issues plaguing common people and then to act and find a solution to it, even if not able to solve because India's common and poor man's issues are too grave to be solved soon mainly due to our population which keeps 80% of people away from even basic needs of life. Rajni can be a good politician because he should not be there in politics for money, power or glamour since he has seen all this and now he should be there only to be get satisfaction to heart and give meaning to his life till death.

Stay away from Dravidian leaders
by Ram Balakrishnan on Mar 06, 2018 06:55 PM  | Hide replies

Rajni should stay away from Dravidian leaders like MGR, JJ, Karunanidhi etc. All of them starting from Annadurai were known to be not good in giving a clean administration. Though there is no charge against Anna, but the very fact that he propelled Karunanidhi shows that he did not judge his own leaders properly.

I think its better off to only talk about development, technology and stay away from spirituality, Dravidan, Tamilian, religious and caste based politics. I still think Rajni has a chance but he needs to be careful in selecting candidates who can contest elections. He should keep development, honesty, tech savy, good administrative experience as a key to dole out tickets and only focus on positive campaign.

If he is consistent if not this election people would start recognizing him in the next. He should never make the mistake of aligning with any Dravidian Party and some of Tamil parties., who are bunch of crooks and opportunists. Kamal, though he appears good, but he is talking too much and especially his atheist views will hamper him.

sir, there are no atheists in tamilnadu . All are either (98%) theists (in true hinduu sense) or remaining 2% call themselves 'atheists' but secretly practice theism.. !!
