Call for early elections
by BasroorNarendraBhat on Mar 04, 2018 09:24 PM

We have elected a government to rule us for 5 years, so that the system can be put on track. It was not elected to take care of your prospects by calling for early election. Please work sincerely for the welfare of the people without worrying about the next elections. People are fed up of unwanted violence, unwanted loot of the national wealth. Why don't we have rule that is same for everyone. Why don't you allow the people who are supposed to do their job do their job. If they are corrupted please make sure they go to prison for a long time, cut their retirement benefits, and bring them on the road. This should apply to all the scoundrels irrespective of their position in life. The very fact that no humanity is left and the poor people suffer the most is heart breaking. Is this the India I want-NO. I remember my childhood which was so wonderful, I wonder when did we loose those days.

The farmer, of course, is angry.

The unemployed youth, of course, are angry.

The middle class too is generally angry.

The farmer is angry because komaaaaali Modi tricked them big time with promises of doubling their income but ended up torpedoing their interests with demonetization that led to a massive crash in farm prices. He added to their anger by making BJP governments in select states promise to waive off farm loans and then reneging on that promise.

The unemployed and middle class anyway, have been dealt a raw deal policy wise and taxation wise.

But none of these is komaaaali Modis biggest fault !

Due to the general inability of most commoners to do even simple sums, the fact that Modi is much more corrupt than the Congress party (erstwhile corruption kings) has not yet made much of an impact !

Adani - P note scam (identified and condemned by the CAG)

Anil Ambani - allowed to escape from his role as the main culprit in the 2G scam by making the CBI go slow on his prosecution and not presenting evidences and even allowing political opponents (Raja and Kanimozhi of the DMK) to escape in order to weaken the case against Anil Ambani

Anil Ambani scam no 2 - Helicoptered into the Rafale deal at the expense of HAL and tripled the price of Rafale in order to help him partly tide over the Rs 1.25 lakh crores he owes public sector banks (a big portion of Ambanis NPA was written off and the banks were partly compensated with money from public funds under the diversionary term of bank recapitalization) !

Nirav Modi - Surely, one can bet that this man was and is one of the numerous big contributors of black money to the BJP election campaign fund ! There is just no other reason why he was allowed to escape from the country with tens of thousands of crores of rupees taken from public sector banks despite the PMO receiving clear warnings with evidence for his loot !

Your recommendation reminds me of the jackal which had accidentally lost its tail urging its tribe to cut their tails too. Your affinity to Modi is no secret to any one of the regulars here. Contrarily based on his success Modi could try through a better administration to impress the voters.

NO MORE MODI WAVE...ITS GONE...
by Satheesh Angamuthu on Mar 04, 2018 05:04 PM  | Hide replies

THE RECENT VICTORIES IN SOME OF THE STATE ELECTIONS IS NOT BECAUSE OF MODI WAVE, WHICH HAS VANISHED LONG BACK. THE MOMENT PEOPLE REALIZED THAT THIS GOVT HAS BETRAYED THEM IN ALL AND THE SCAMS WERE REVEALED, PEOPLE HAVE GOT THE AWARENESS. THE REASON FOR BJP COMING INTO POWER IN SOME OF THE STATES IS BECAUSE OF 2 MAIN REASONS. ONE IS THE ANTI INCUMBENCY AGAINST THE RULING PARTIES AND 2ND REASON IS THE MISSING UNITY AMONG NON-BJP PARTIES. THIS WILL NOT REFLECT IN NEXT GENERAL ELECTION FOR SURE. CONG AND OTHER OPP PARTIES HAVE LOT OF MATTERS TO TALK DURING THE ELECTION. DEMONITIZATION FRAUD, RAFAEL SCAM, BANK SCAM, JAISHAH SCAM ARE SOME OF THEM. SO WE DO NOT HAVE TO FEAR THAT BJP WILL AGAIN WIN IN THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION.

This is the most absurd proposition
by rajarshi banerjee on Mar 04, 2018 02:20 PM

This is even more absurd than news room logic who are calling for polls in Dec 2018. if gen. elections are held now, modi would not get even 200 seats nationally.

Rajiv gandhi would have lost immaterial of when he called the polls. the author forgets that 406 LS seats were purely because of sympathy wave which his mother's assassination created. His performance in 4yrs did not have anything much to write home about except his vision for IT & computers coming to India in a big way. Whether it was dec 88 or dec 89 Rajiv would not have managed more than 200 seats which is what he got around finally.

modi should wait out the full term, then at least he can judge how his schemes have been received or not. what is the scenario vis a vis farmers, monsoon etc. Everyone in 2004 predicted NDA to come back, they advanced polls by 6 months on the back of India shining campaign which the then incumbent thought was a roaring success. We all know what happened in the end.

There could be nothing more foolish than this. Elections should happen when due. Even if MP.CG, Rajasthan is lost, people vote differently in assembly & LS polls which has been made amply clear in 1999 when NDA lost in maha but people voted for vajpayee on the same day at the centre.
