MR AURYAS: - nothing related to this article as I have read about Adhi Sankaracharya and people in TN speaks good about him even ATHEIST.
In response to Mr Auryas comment earlier - EVR PERIYAR - I request you to read the life History and his various sayings. In short he was a REFORMER not a hater of brahmin but BRAHMINISM. He is a hater of all communal system. He has been a harsh critic of ARYAN INFLUENCED HINDUISM - Religion goes hand in hand with superstition and fear. Religion prevents progress and suppress human community - Religion exploits suppressed class of human.
Having read - that once he was thrown out from a temple in Kasi and was not given for a stay in a lodge there in his late teens. He was TN Congress Committee President in Madras Rajadhani during mid 1930s. During an all India Conference held in Kerala , Bramins and Non-Brahmins were served foods separately and it was opposed by him. Later he joined JUSTICE PARTY.
He played for SOCIAL JUSTICE, WOMEN LIBERATION, UPLIFTMENT THRU EDUCATION AND MORE AGST SUPERSTITION. He had a strong feelings about Religions that they are prone to be hit by accusation of superstition, Exploitation and Irrationalism.
