Rainwater storage? In Mumbai to stone rainwater the first step is to close the open drainage, which flows all over Mumbai. These open gutters are hub of all disease, filth and water born diseases. When there is rain, the rainwater is mixed with gutter water. During high tide, drains are choked. Instead of blaming natural calamities like heavy every year and depending on british drainage system that flushes all the water in sea, these incompetent corrupt babus would have deployed an alternative system. So far forget about draining rainwater to harvest area, these crooks, thugs, cheaters, corrupts, incompetent politicians of India have bribed to close and block the old existing drainage system and sewage line and build a building over it and extract money from the builders. India needs french revolution

Smart cities are biggest jumlas in the making
by Sameer Shaikh on Jun 25, 2018 04:13 PM

Just like 15 lakhs in your account, smart cities in India is biggest jumla in the making. It is undoable in the current set up where state, muncipality and panchayat level has corrupt babus who do day light robbery. It is impossible with such corrupt and incompetent set of rogues people. I experience 25 cases where babus openly beg for corruption.

Slumbai the slum capital of India is a truly the caricature of third world country India is and its governance. Mumbai condition is like HIV disease. Cannot be cured urgently with medicine, but need long time therapy. Slum tourism, social infrastructure disorder you name it, Mumbai has all. The builders in the city has given loads of money to corrupt politicians and bureaucrats to close the drain gap and build a road or close the gap and create artificial skyscraper in place of drain. Even when a dog urinate, the nearby area is flooded.

Sir
we deal with RTO office regularly ,Corruption in RTO indeed reduced due to introduction of ONLINE system.
you can check online what rules says.
You can highlight the issue with respective manufacturer to check if dealer is extra charging in the name of RTO. could have approached ACB in builders corruption and RTO. your post shows you shifted to Mumbai in search of livelihood imagine what happens when millions of people like us try to occupy what ever space available. As per data population of Muslims increasing in fast pace than any other hence need to educate our near & dear rather than simply blaming BJP for every thing. we also need to realize what prompted us to migrate from home town village & who is responsible. Slums have not cropped up overnight & exist even before BJP Govt.

Mumbai is better place than our home town, is not the reason why we migrate?
People are not showing intent to make it Shanghai but is far far better than Karachi or Dhakha.

flooding in mumbai
by Dattatraya Udas on Jun 25, 2018 03:11 PM

there is no point in blaming BMC all the time for Mumbai flooding. City is saucer shaped and with little rains low lying areas get flooded. There is water drain system in place but in case of high tide water can not go to sea.
Other cities like Ahmedabad ,Chennai ,Hyderabad ,Nasik etc. are getting flooded due to concretization. Are we blaming Municipal Corporations of these places ?

DISASTER IN MUMBAI
by Apollo Trade on Jun 25, 2018 03:08 PM

The ShivSena controlled BMC is a not a den but Palace of corruption, result of which manifest during every monsoon.
The state government must curb powers of Standing Committees of all Municipal Corporations, which is the Fountain Head of corrupt practices, which has been siphoning the hapless citizen.

Mumbai heavy Showers.

It is advised to BMC that it should divert the funds from building memorials to the civic infrastructure. Citizens are paying taxes for civic infrastructure and not the extravagant memorials.
