why is RAW chief lying...morarjee desai was responsible for many raw agents killed by spilling the beans to zulfikar bhutto...indira gandhi had launched operation kahuta against pak nuclear programme...after she lost power the foolish morarji desai gave away india's secret operations by saying to bhutto we know what you are doing...thus endangering and killing many raw agents in pakistan...what does dulat gain by circumventing and lying that "No R&AW official came under trouble because of Morarji Desai.
There was a lot of pruning of the organisation and we lost a lot of posts. Some senior people left as they were not happy."
and that "You must have heard that R&AW as an organisation had been softened in the time of Morarji Desai and I K Gujral.

Nehru should not have sent the Indian army to assist Raja Hari Singh and thus annex Kashmir !
He gave in to his emotive attachment to Kashmir and violated the spirit of the Instrument of Accession act.
Sardar Patel, who was instrumental in integrating hundreds of princely states into the Indian Union and who used the military to drive out the Nawab of Junagadh (who signed the act to accede to Pakistan), did not approve of Nehrus idea to make Kashmir a part of India. He changed his mind and began pursuing Kashmir only in 1949 after Pakistan resolutely kept raising Junagadh in the UN as an example of injustice by India.
Later, Nehru also declined the UN sponsored idea of sharing the 6 river Indus system equally between India and Pakistan in return for India letting go of Kashmir.
If not for these monumental blunders of Nehru, India and Pakistan, two of the most grindingly poor countries in the world, would not have wasted such a huge portion of their begging bowl resources to race against each other in buying arms and maintaining such large armies !
And Nehru compounded his blunders by giving refuge to the parasitic Dalai Lama and inviting the wrath of China, which dealt India a humiliating military defeat. (Nehru also persistently stuck to his stance that the British drawn McMahon line should define the border between India and China, ignoring historical realities that large parts of territory within that line were never part of any Indian kingdom of the past)
Had it not been for these truly monumental blunders of Nehru, these festering cancerous problems with Pak and China would never have come about and the 3 countries could have long become peaceful trading partners and stake holders in each others welfare and development !
