The primary raison d etre for caste based reservations is the discrimination the so called low castes have suffered over centuries owing to the perception among the so called upper castes that the low caste people are all descended from an inferior negro race while the upper castes belonged to a much better looking Aryan race.
After millennia of co-habitation, raxpes, muxlim invasions, even the occasional inter marriages, this is much less true today than it might have been millennia ago.
A very large segment among the so called upper caste people of today consists of men and women who look like negroes (thick lips, curly hair, flat and wide nose, even dark or very dark skin!) while a segment of the so called low caste people have much more acquiline facial features and fair or very fair skin !
A prominent such case of negro upper caste people are a large number among the Tamil brahmin (Iyers) community (Nirmala Sitharaman is a riveting example). They are often as black as and are as endowed with thick lips and flat noses as the lowest harijans in Tamil Nadu !
It is unfair that todays reservation system does not take into account this fact !
70 years, congress could not transform Dalit in progressive/ selfrespect. Even so called master of Dalit became billionaires having all Royal facilities but their following remain as they are 70 years back. Now all opposition coming to champion for Dalit for Vote politics including Congress.

Dalits don't trust one of their own. They tust foreigners more. That's why more trust in Gandhi, Less in Modi. Combined opposition should make it an election plank, and put in the manifesto; that Immdeiate Jail for any one referring Dalit by Caste. All parties who support, should do the same, including BJP. All Non-Dalits should vote NOTA, if they don't like it.

When Dalits will stop calling themselves dalits. For seventy years their own leaders (so called masiahs of Dalits) have exploited them as vote bank. Please be equal to other citizens of India.
These guys never understood that in last 60 years CONGRESS not done anything to uplift. Daliths who became MPS, MLAs, IAS officers, other major officers kept using reservation and denying right to other Daliths. Speaking on BJP is nothing but surrendering to CONGRESS mis rule on Daliths
